Yes, I'm aware that there was already a Galaxy Mario thread, but I don't think that was ever actually made into a moveset.
So far, I've made two animations, his Neutral B on land and in the air. I haven't started the PSA yet, because I want the animations done first. (this will use Brawl+ Mario as a base)
My plans:
n-B: Star Spin - Same thing as in SMG. Moderate move, lasts just as long as old Fireball. Gives small vertical boost if done in air (sort of like Fox's reflector).
up-B: Sling Star - Mario is shot into the air. Hits opponents along way, causes blast of energy at launch. (this will use the ItemDragoonGet animation)
side-B: ??? Maybe long jump or star bit (might be switched with n-B)
down-B: Grounded: ??? Aerial: Ground Pound - Same as Yoshi's down-B
side-Smash: Same as before, but with electrical damage. (may be changed)
Taunts: I don't have any ideas, but I'd like them to be changed.
Every move is open to suggestions.
Animations:
SmashThrow____: aerials? Rebound: Star bit throw? AssistTrophy: taunt?

Oh, how about changing the aerial down special to that homing stomp? You know, like when in Galaxy you use the star spin in the air, and then immediately use the stomp, and would slightly home on to enemies (or NPC )? As for the neutral special, I really think that you should at last try to get the star bits into that one. I just think that the Star Spin would make a better grounded down special. So, yeah, this is what I can think of for now...

I do think that star bits should be in the moveset in some way.
General Questions: Should I make side-B into Star Spin instead of neutral-B? Should neutral-N be Star Bit Shot, and what should it be like?

Sticking Ice powers or Bee powers in there might be too much eh? Star bit shot should probably be something between Fox's and Falco's lasers, not no stopping power, but not as much as Falco. Possibly make it chargeable.

Maybe he should be lighter and more slippery than normal Mario for that space feel.

Or have his other space powers as different powers and could be divided [like Soren]

I really only want to give him his standard powers. Not anything from power-ups. At least not for now. There's already a lot of things he can do from his normal mode that weren't in Brawl.

you want him to... turn him into Luigi? XD Great ideas so far. I don't think this should be/can be done but maybe you could incorporate manipulation of the z axis during some of his moves. You know... like a projectile that weaves between the x and z axis in a serpentine pattern leaving blind spots in the hit boxes during the animation... or some thing like that... bad idea, sorry =(. Maybe give him an odd aerial jump that has a quality to the feel of Ness and Lucas but more exaggerated.

screenshots?
I'm just working in Brawlbox right now for animations. Screenshots won't give too much of an idea of what it's like until I'm a decent way into it. So far I have the animations for Star Spin, Up-B (Sling Star), and Side Taunt. I've decided I'm going to change Star Spin to side-B, and make Star Bits into neutral B. At that point, I suppose I can take screenshots.

He's probably going to jump higher than regular Mario right? Oh and you think you can make his 2nd jump a spin move? or is that too much spinning already? >.> For his running animation you're going to try to mimic his run in Galaxy right? hmm what else.. what else.. maybe stick to walls for a split second kind of like Lucario, Diddy and Sheik, but not as long. Oh and another random thought, is there anyway to implement a triple jump (i.e. jump 3 times consecutively while running and the 3rd jump will be higher with a different animation)?

If I can do that, I will, but my priorities are his attacks right now. I don't think that's possible, but that would be cool.

Side-B (ground) could be like a spin dive with multiple hits and little to no knockback. Side-B (air) a short flying/gliding animation, no damage. Down-B (ground) spin.. blahh too much spinnning.. uhh.. temporary invincibility? starbit counter? pull out a throwable luma/starbit? Spin charge?
For one of hit taunts he should waddle in a circle in a crouched position lol

Possibility 1: Neutral B: Star Bit Shot Side B: Star Spin Down B: Drill Spin from SMG2 (grounded)/ Ground Pound (aerial)
Possibility 2: Neutral B: Star Spin Side B: Glide (aerial)/ Long Jump (grounded) Down B: Drill Spin/ Ground Pound
Possibility 3: Neutral B: Star Bit Shot Side B: Glide (aerial)/ Long Jump (grounded) Down B: Star Spin
Choose One.
For an idea of how they would work...
Star Spin: Same feel as the Cape in the air (slowing effect/uplift?), but with more knockback and no reversing effect. May or may not reflect projectiles (undecided).
Star Bit Shot: I'm think of shooting three Star Bits in rapid succession in a straight line. About the range of Falcon's Side B (or Cloud's uncharged neutral B).
Ground Pound: Same basic idea as Yoshi's down B.
Drill Spin: Mario drills into the ground (area around dig site does continuous damage) and pops up shortly after (more range and knockback when he pops back up). Total time should be about the same as a Falcon Punch. If Mario hits somebody at the start of the attack, they will be stuck in ground (pitfall).
Glide/Long Jump: Same thing with different animations. Same speed as Raptor Boost, a bit less distance than Falco Phantasm. Not spammy like Fox and Falco's side-B. Stronger, but not a kill move.
