The plan is to get to them eventually. We're still taking things slowly though, so don't look forward to them right away.

Glad you're pleased with the final result! We appreciate feed-back we get just as well as you guys dropping in and saying "good job".

EDIT: Also, I'm sure a lot of you noticed some stuff missing from the OP. We're developing some more in-depth stuff to talk about that sort of thing (recolor origins, design inspirations and stuff), but in the mean time, I'll be mentioning things at this Tumblr blog until we're all setup.

It looks pretty good! Though, you may want to try adding some yellow to some places. The Melee one was pretty monotone though, so it looks like a huge improvement already!

But um... anyone know how to outline models like they are in SSB43DS? I would loves these with outlines! Tried it after watching a tutorial and couldn't do jack... so can someone who knows jack please help me? maybe?

It's a very early work in progress, and there's still a lot of work to be done.

Fun fact: We had the model made for Smash 3 and had been planning to do this Marth before Sakurai revealed Smash 4 Marth. Since he did reveal it, it made our job easier.

I'll take that into consideration. Since Im actually working on a Purple Brawl Ganondorf anyway. And your right, since Melee Ganon still retained his gold accents i'll keep the the same feel for it, maybe a little more subtle.

Almost! He gave a hint he'd be updating Marth's design in an Iwata (okay, Sakurai) Asks about Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon. We took the hint and rolled with it and wouldn't you know it, we were right!

Smash 3 Progress report!

As we get characters close to release, we’ll add a silhouette of them to this picture until everyone is completely filled in!

If you’ve been with us from the start, you may notice that some previously released characters are no longer filled in. That’s because we’ve gone back and done some updating (some small, some rather large).

Mario, Sonic, Link, and Peach are being revisited while we move forward with developing other characters. You can see Sonic’s new appearance below!
