Because how dare someone say something bad? No, we must silence the heathens at once.
No one cares if you don't personally like this package; no one is offended because you have an opinion. The problem is that your
reasons for hating the mod are not only petty, but poorly thought out, and worse yet you're being obnoxious about it.
One shall see how much quality this pack will have. Quick hint though, don't hold your breath.
Like I said before... this
isn't even a pack. It's a
base for a hack-set.
This isn't about the extra characters or the new stages
themselves necessarily. This is for people who want 100 stages
for themselves to change, the
ability to add extra characters.
So in terms of quality, this hack is already
well above expectations.
It still feels a bit tacked on, though, to be honest. I still don't trust this pack to be any good as the others. Time will tell, I suppose, but it is pretty much still just a "let's take things from other people and bunch it up into a pack". I want to see what they can do to change this.
You're completely missing the point of this mod, LC. This is
the first hack set of its kind. People have worked tirelessly to make P:M both BrawlEX and Stage Expansion compatible. A big reason why this pack is "as good as all the others" is that it does something
no other pack does.
They don't need to do anything to change the hack (aside from fix some bugs); the whole point of the mod is to make a base for the downloader to personalize.
You only popped up in here trying to whiteknight this thread because you do the same damn thing.
No LC, I don't do the same thing.
What I'm working on is a pack.
But
this guy made a
hack-set.
And second of all, your main complaint is about just taking other's work and rehashing it without changing anything; something I don't do either. Do you have any idea how hard it is to make a PSA?
I'm "whiteknight"ing because P:M+ is one of the next steps for certain people in the hacking community and all you want to do is complaaaaain.
No, someone on a *Brawl hacking site* wants to change a **Total Conversion** to stray away from its original intent.
I'll believe you when somebody tries to change this game into Street Fighter.
Everything about hacking Brawl strays away from Smash's original intent. If that's what bugs you, then why are you here?
I'm pretty sure the way P:M made things, they were pretty much against unofficial builds, which technically, is what this is. So yes.
I'm pretty sure the way Brawl was built, Sakurai was against unofficial builds.
Now you're just being an idiot. But to be fair, there are still Melee addicts out there that think THAT is the truth, so I'll let it slide.
Well.
From the perspective of gameplay alone, I'd certainly side with those people.
Just because it's borrowed and properly credit doesn't suddenly make it okay to have a catch-all compilation pack whose mods someone can already get seperately.
...
Also, yeah, you're totally right. Downloading other people's hacks into a pack is SUCH hard work. P:M's good enough as it is, it doesn't NEED to be 'better'.
If it's not OK than why don't the moderators shut projects like this down?
Believe it or not, a lot of people don't have the time or patience to grab each little mod and update their hack-set like this. This is just convenient.
If P:M is "good enough as is", than why don't they just stop updating it?
You don't know what 'hypocrite' means, do you? IF I had a compilation pack of my own, you'd be right, but you're not.
Uh, actually, if I were here to
complain about this "pack",
that's what would make me a hypocrite in this situation. You're being a hypocrite because you're a hacker - in a thread about hacking - complaining about people hacking the game.
At least the others can form a coherent response. You barely have enough brainpower to post a [censored]ty GIF.
You know, people have been reported to the moderators for wittier insults than that.
