So I followed this tutorial: http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=67591.0I did exactly every step that the tutorial said, but as in game, when I press "Brawl" it crashes the game. I reread the tutorial and watched videos about it, but no luck. Anyone know why the game keep's crashing?

I believe this occurs when the selcharacter.pac file is over the file size limit which is 3.79 if it is you need to lower it or it will continue to crash

Well, it's actually 3,843 KB. Which I think equals to 3.843 MB.

Then yes, that is in fact over the filesize limit, like HyperHandCRazy said. Are all of the portraits imported as CMPR?

3,843 KB is most definitely below 3.79 MB, though, so I doubt that is the problem.

It is? I thought 3,843 KB was 3.843 MB, though, which is > 3.79 MB... O_O
Post Merge: December 04, 2016, 09:37:22 AM Google's converter thingy says that 1 Megabyte = 1000 Kilobytes; so doesn't that make this true?

sometimes it's not. If your'e he's using BrawlEx then the files must be bigger right?

In that particular picture, it is 3.76 MB in actual size. The 3,852 KB is something different, though I forget what(I think it had something to do with bytes taken up by the hard drive to contain the file or something), but the smaller number is the size of the actual file itself.

They're both the actual size. Let's use some math, shall we?
1 Kilobyte = 1,024 Bytes 1 Megabyte = 1,024 Kilobyes 3 Megabytes = 3,072 Kilobytes 3.76 Megabytes = 3,850.24 Kilobytes

Wait, though, isn't a Megabyte equal to 1,000 Kilobytes, though, not 1,024?

Nope, I've never actually understood why people think it's not 1,024.

Normally, yes, however in terms of bytes it's 1,024.
