    I recently found out that you can do vertex edits just using Anim8or, so gave it a go.
    I only made minor adjustments to it (just to make it noticable at first), followed all the steps to using Vertex box, then imported the model back into brawlbox.

    It turned out like this:


    Did I do something wrong? Or do the powers that be just not want me to vertex?

    is it his hair that u tried to vertex hack? im guessing by the colors of the messed up [censored]. well if it is, then u are indeed doing somethin wrong cause i know calamitas edited toon link's hair to make him look more like Vaati

    Ummm.... yea I'm pretty sure that's anim8or's fault.  Are you only using anim8or to do it?

    I was actually editing the hat, but the same thing happens on any character I try to edit.
    I got the exact same shape and colour when I tried to edit Zerosuit too

    Yeah, Thezac268 said that it would work with just Anim8or seeing as he did all his on it.
    Perhaps its a problem with the version I'm using (0.97d preview)?

    I'm actually having a very similar problem changing Peach into Daisy. Her eyes are giving me that result when I try to change them. I am, however, using Blender to do the editing. I send the .3ds to Anim8or, convert it into a .obj, send that to Blender, change it, export as .obj, put it back into Anim8or, convert it into .3ds again, then insert it into the .mdl0. I did this very same technique with her hair and face, and it worked flawlessly. I've yet to figure out what it is.

    You may just be getting unlucky with what you're choosing to edit. Try messing with Peach's hair or face and see if you still have this problem.

    It's the preview version i just imported a un-edited vertex on ness and the whole thing went screwy

    I used 3ds max for vertex stuff and whenever I did the anim8or step it always came out looking like that.  What I did was skip it.  I don't know how to get around it if you are using anim8or or blender though.

    Looks like I'll have to be a filthy pirate and grab a copy of that from somewhere then... Hopefully my crappy computer will support it now since I got anim8or working
