yeah i fixed it now. but why does BRSTM2SD open and then quickly close.

No idea if I just missed this or not, but how long does it normally take for a BRSTM loading off the SD Card to load in-game? I know sometimes there is lag accompanied by other items (such as the loading of textures in the past), so figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

I think the current File Patch code doesn't have any delay on anything.

Hello! Just wanted to say thanks to Vyse for making this guide, its very helpful. :)

@Register
I can tell you that there's no delay. I take out my SD Card every time to test textures and music all the time.

You're welcome. Glad it helped.  ;D Feel free to ask if you ever have any questions.

Thanks for the awesome guide. Worked wonders. ^-^

Can't believe how long ago this started. @.@; Last time I checked up on the possibilities of music hacking, it was still just a dream/having to burn the ISO... xD

Ha ha, yeah, I remember when tracks had to be in mono and loop from beginning to end. In fact, the old tutorial is here somewhere, at the end of this forum. We brought it over for nostalgic purposes.

Edit: Or it... used to be... odd, I wonder where it went.

Edit again: Ah, found it. http://kittycorp.freecp.net/index.php?topic=32.0

Hey Vyse, quick question...I got my song to work and everything, ended up using Xenogears - Stage of Death (Random Battle) theme...now in your guide I DO see that u said that using an SD Loader might not work for music titles, but im not using one, im placing my files directly on my SD card. Now when I tried to do the music title thing, it froze my game after Now Loading. I think somewhere between the info.pac thing and compressing/decompressing I got lost. Heres the instructions I followed...call me "slow" but to ME they seemed a bit vague....

1. First you need to obtain the /menu2/mu_menumain_en.pac and /info2/info_en.pac files from your ISO or download them from http://www.mediafire.com/?gjt2iaoqf0f and put them in this folder.
Get Ntcompress (from the Revolution SDK) and put it in this folder

2. run step 1

3. Open the 2 output files in a hex editor, and search for "Super Smash Bros. Brawl Main Theme"

4. Edit the song names and save the files

5. Run step 2

6. Insert the new files into your game

....What files exactly am I to insert into my game? And into what folder? I looked at your guide and started to get the picture, but im still somewhat lost....so do i insert info.pac, mu_menumain_en.pac..and the info_en.pac into the info2 folder? Or just let me know if I cant change the music titles via manual SD loading so I can just leave this ish alone...

EDIT: Nevermind...i fixededed it....I was assuming too much and gettin ahead of mineself  :P

How do you loop to a point in the song that's not the beginning? Like, if I wanted the song to start at the beginning, and then loop the ending to somewhere in the middle of the song, how would I do that?
Is it just me, or are the people of Unova extremely generous?

You would read one of the sections clearly labeled "with Custom Looping."

...Sorry. It's been so long since I've read this thread, and I didn't want to read through the whole first post again with the possibility that my answer wasn't in there.

Then go convert it yourself, and stop typing in caps like an idiot.

In fact, is that you came here to say? ...

Did some editing, mostly in the song title section. No more limits! Also included info on increasing volume.
