very nice progress so far for his wait 2 do you think it'd be possible to make it look like his low stamina sprite in X4 where he is clasping his shoulder? any who nice job guys. oh and is a moveset planed yet?

Is there a way to link the wait animations to the mechanics of the game? Like make the wait 2 what Ninka X said but when zero has like 70 damage+. is that possible?

Some characters such as the pokemon trainers pokemon have special waits for when there stamina is down.

That would be cool if we could somehow add that to zero for his wait 2. I dont know how we would go about doing that but if we could, that would be a neat one of a kind thing to have.

@Ninka and Super: You guys have read my mind! D: Makes me think you don't need me...
Anyway, some more work on Zero's Second texture this morning. I will probably be done with it either tonight or tomorrow morning. Then I will do Zero's Wait1 and finish it.
After that, I will probably perhaps do Zero's Jabs and his ground tilts. Then after that probably a special or two.
I just hope BSZ or Eldrian don't go postal on us since they were also thinking of doing Zero.

okay a team member of mine on hardcorebrawl hacks is making a vertex exported right now which is almost done basically meaning you could just export the vertex of zero onto link and you'd have a perfect vertex edit then you'd be able to use ingame animations. hes gotten it to work fully with stages and trophies and he will hopefully get it to work for characters very soon.

okay a team member of mine on hardcorebrawl hacks is making a vertex exported right now which is almost done basically meaning you could just export the vertex of zero onto link and you'd have a perfect vertex edit then you'd be able to use ingame animations. hes gotten it to work fully with stages and trophies and he will hopefully get it to work for characters very soon.
That's nice and all, but we've managed to get the TvC model working okay. We just need some minor fixes such as Zero's "Ears", and if it isn't a texture problem, that ridiculous shine on his body we don't need. We also need a vertexed Z-Saber we could replace one of Link's articles with for Zero to use in place of the actual article from TvC since all we have is the polygon sticking from his back.

I will take a screenshot with Zero's frame 1 pose on Wait1 with his revamped textures. The only thing I cannot guarantee is the quality of the hair textures and the Buster textures. Anyhow, how you checked out how the "Tuya" texture affects Zero in game or at all? Cause if the Tuya texture isn't the cause of Zero's shine, it's his Materials that need editing.

No, that means it's a Materials related thing, and we'll need to find a way to edit the Materials to fix it. EDIT @ 12:40PM: I just thought about Zero having his low-health animation for his Wait2, and wondered how it would affect the look of the attacks...Though I guess it will be fine. I will animate Zero now and get a couple of his Wait's done if I can. My next class is at 2:00 PM CST. EDIT: @1:16: Well, Wait1 is done, 140 frames, a simple breathing in and out animations with a brief pause to make him breath in intermittently instead of all the time. I will start on Wait2.

If you want Zero with Brawl animations, it takes 2 minutes to make any import use brawl animations. There's just the bone glitches. And Velen isn't doing that. (if you are curious about it one slot imports with brawl animations, don't ask here) We also need a vertexed Z-Saber we could replace one of Link's articles with for Zero to use in place of the actual article from TvC since all we have is the polygon sticking from his back.

You mean that by taking the model, and replacing the sword glow, in order for Zero to hold the Z-Saber? The only problem is that...Wait a minute, would there be any problems? Anyhow, I started on Wait2. My only concern is how it would transition to other animations such as walk, crouch, and jump. Since Zero would be holding his right arm during the animation. Otherwise, the animations are going well. Unfortunately, I couldn't meet my deadline for the textures, so I'll try to get them done tonight after doing some homework for Intro to Writing. @Ninka: I'll tell you what though Ninka, if that vertex comes out as good as you say it will, I will definitely consider changing models if we don't get too far into the animations by then. However, if we are, we will continue with the model we have and use other imports, then maybe reanimate the entire thing with the new model after we have had all nice and done for a time.
