Apparently, this new site address is responding way better on my computer than the past two. Good thing too, because seeing the links not respond almost 60 times on the last two site addresses was really giving me a headache.
I still use the File Replacement v2.1a NTSC code. Unless you want to do music hacks, I suggest that you stick with that code since it's practically flawless with character textures and character portraits.
Here's the File Replacement v2.1a NTSC code for anyone not too comfortable with the newest file replacement code. It uses 34 lines of code, and is practically flawless with character textures and character portraits.
As a bonus, you can combine that code with the Unrestricted Camera code, adding up to 37 lines of code.
Code:
Unrestricted Camera In Pause: [Clel] 4A000000 80000000 040A7D60 4E800020 04109D88 38800001
If PAL users want to do custom textures AND custom portraits, you'll have to rely on File Replacement v1.3 PAL for now. File Replacement v2.1a PAL causes crashes with the custom portraits. At least, that's what I've heard. Using all of the codes shown below (which is required in order to work) will add up to 178 lines of code.
Never. I always leave the default textures alone, even if the default textures are used for team battles. Wario's default two outfits also stay unedited; FitWario00 and FitWario06.
oh i don't know about that, unless it involves simply taking any pic of a character and setting it up. i was just curious about CSPs for the textures on this site, eg i got a phazon suit samus, and PED suit, i would like to have CSPs for that.
Take a snapshot of the texture, decrypt it, and then start editing the snapshot to make your portrait.
You can download the offline decrypter by going to the link below. Keep note that this only works with PC computers.
If you've extracted all the InfFace###.brres files for step 1, you shouldn't be having this problem. Chances are you didn't have every single InfFace###.brres when you ran step 1.
Vyse uploaded a download containing ALL of the original InfFace###.brres files. Download link is below.
For most characters, it's FitKirby[Character Name]00.pac. However, for Donkey Kong, Falco, Olimar, Jigglypuff, and Solid Snake, it's called FitKirby[Character Name]##.pac. Replace the ## with 00-05.
I never used Paint.net, but I do use The GIMP to edit my textures. Of course, I do use Photoshop CS4 to index most of the indexed textures; very few indexed textures can actually be indexed through The GIMP.
