Characters that come with .rel normally won't work, except for Snake cuz he's special(he freezes when using any projectile,so he's unhackable   )

Most stages will work with P:M I think that only PKMN Stadium 2,Warioware and Norfair ones won't work.

Rel files are certain rules that characters/stages must follow. I don't think every rel file will work with every stage.

What I mean is, will the .rel from Project M for, say, Final Destination work with any mod that needs a Final Destination .rel, or is each .rel made specifically for the mod it goes with?

So, as you may or may not know, in Project M, characters like Zelda and Sheik, or Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard are split to be individually selectable characters instead of all part of one character. What I want to know is how that was achieved, so I can do it. Also, how did the folks at PMBR add extra characters? Or do we not know that yet? Lastly, what are .rel files? I have .rel files for pretty much every character and stage from Project M. Will they work with any mod that requires a .rel file?

It uses .sawnd files, something I've never heard of before. 0_o But it CREATES them for you, so don't worry. You also need to go into your "pf" folder on your SD and create a new folder there called "sfx", as that's where the files go.

It allows you to hack SFX in Brawl without resorting to loading hacks via Riivolution, which was formerly the only way to SFX hack. Now Gecko users can SFX hack. This is awesome because Riivolution kinda sucks.

If you wanna change in-game portraits, create a new folder in the pf folder called...

 info > portrite

As an example, I'm going to use this Waluigi mod. Waluigi himself works, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to replace all of pit's portraits and name text. I've even gone into the common5.pac and edited everything of Pit I could find, but Pit's picture and bow/arrow symbol still show up during battle and the results screen. How do I completely utilize this mod?

Additionally, how can I add extra characters without replacing anyone?

So, I've downloaded Waluigi Time!, and Waluigi himself works, but none of Pit's pictures or names have been replaced? The read WAA.txt does not help simply because it calls things by different names than the filenames, leading to confusion. Which files do I put in which folders? How do I know which files to put in sc_selcharacter or sc_selcharacter2? So if somebody could please provide better instructions on how to properly use this mod, I would be very grateful. In fact, if all mods are going to be this obnoxious to use, could somebody just tell me how to use them in general? Or link me to a guide that explains it decently?
