Hey SDoom, I've been curious about this...
If a character, Like Wolf or Sheik, gain influence from a DACUS, does that mean that Vegeta or Spiderman (respectively) can gain DACUS influence as well?
If so, have you tried using them with your PSA's? Maybe they could improve the effectiveness of each character's up smash? Because you said in the description for Vegeta's Up smash that it has "piss poor horizontal range". Maybe if it can be DACUS'd that it'd actually perform better?
Just out of curiosity.

Actually... No, Spiderman doesn't have a Dacus the last time I checked, it has something to do with how the dash attack is coded... Or animated, not sure yet.
However, try Dacusing with Viewtiful Joe... It works. As does Haloed's Cloud... Which makes him really broken...

DACUS is influenced by 3 things:
1) How far a character moves forward in the first few frames of their dash attack
2) How low their traction is
3) How long their "jump startup time" is (interestingly)
The third one has the least influence. Basically, a character that moves far forward on the first few frames of their dash attack and has a lowish traction for their run speed will have a good DACUS. I've already deliberately given Vegeta these two things so that he can both hyphen smash and DACUS his Up Smash effectively.
Also important note, the "Moves Character" flag MUST be unchecked, otherwise they lose whatever forward momentum they had from their dash attack.

Joe's DACUS was actually an accidental bi product of his U Smash because I met the three above conditions without realising. His dash attack moves forward far and quickly, his traction is high for his run speed (although I believe it's the same as Falcon's traction, since his run speed is much much lower the proportion is greater) and I didn't have the Moves Character flag checked.
The reason why Spidey doesn't have one is for the aforementioned reason of him having the Moves Character flag checked in his U Smash. Same applies to Shadow. Both would have quite effective hyphen smashes and DACUSes otherwise.

You can also do it with Up A, instead of Up Z, but that's harder unless you position your hand a specific way. Though I have better luck with it, since normally I end up trying to grab... Not with Up A.

Just making sure that you're actually taking the ability to DACUS into your moveset.
Good thing that you did.
@Seggy, yeah it's kinda common. But like you said, you probably wouldn't know.
