Nope, I have absolutely no problem with anyone using anything I make. Once its in my vault its free for anyone to use, no credit/collab necessary unless otherwise stated (my bowser jr. vertex i made awhile back... no one can recolor him but it says that in the description)
That had already given me collab credit anyways but i changed it to credit.
So if any brawl vault staff ever see's anything of mine uploaded w.o mention of my name, just ignore it

I PM'ed him, although, you could have done so, too.
I would like to quote for you guys the rules regarding submissions to the Vault. These are the only grounds you have for deleting a hack. If someone asks to have a hack deleted because it's based on their work, you need to make sure it's actually plagiarized. Otherwise, just edit in a credit if needed.
To put it more plainly: Derivative works are not subject to deletion.
Once you put a hack out there, people have just as much of a right to mod it as they do to mod the original Brawl files.
I say this because it seems you guys are getting a bit overzealous in deleting stuff -- you're certainly being far harsher in enforcing your "copyright" than Nintendo is.
I recall back in the days, people like mariokart64n had some strict rules like:
> No one can upload an edit of my hacks unless a month have passed after release, and they must collab me.
Hackers can no longer set rules for the hacks, then?
If so, hackers can no longer forbid people to make recolor of X or Y hack of them, either?
In other words, all is needed to use someone else's hack is to have edits to it, and credit that person, not asking for permission as it used to be done?

Well, looking at vayse's logic, yes. I mean if that shouldn't be the case, we may aswell have nintendo filing law suits on us for making recolors of their stuff, or making PSAs with thier originals, vertexing with thier MDL0's, and using other peoples 3D models for imports. and those people actually have copyright laws by their side. now, they should at least ask if you want to be credited or collaborated.

The edits have to be significant enough that it's not plagiarism, but otherwise, yes, you are correct. Sorry if this has been asked before, but... WTF happened to brawlcustommusic? Apparently "It Works!". We have nothing to do with that site.

There's some things that have been said the past days, that really confuse me at a point where I don't know what is, or what isn't allowed.
Alright, so if you take a bunch of hacks made by other people, and all you do is just that, does that give you the permission to upload the hack?
I could have sworn that I've seen people report, and BrawlVault Staff helpers remove such packs before, yet I see one that was uploaded again, after it causing so much [censored]ing drama.
Also, what if some people who's stuff was taken, do not want it uploaded? Does it matter?
Then again like was said, most of this stuff is another company's and they do have copyrights, but some of the time spent on these "hacks" should be considered and respected.

1)With permission, yes.
2)Yes it matters, it's their work and if they don't want it up, then it's their right. They made it.
Some packs already in the Vault do have permission from all the creators in the pack, and some don't. The ones that don't are the ones that have to go down.

With permission ah?
If so, you guys got a lot of cleaning up to do. Specially with some recent uploads.
Though, I heard that if the person who wasn't asked for permission, doesn't report it, then you guys just take it as if they don't give a [censored] enough to report it, then it should be okay to upload, correct?

No, it's not okay, it just goes unnoticed. But it's still not okay.

Alright, so if you take a bunch of hacks made by other people, and all you do is just that, does that give you the permission to upload the hack? If you mean making "packs," then no, that's not OK. If you're talking about taking other people's stuff and combining it into one new hack, well... that's more of a gray area.
