well one final question then. I'll solve my other problem by not picking random...

I replaced Zebes with a version of Hyrule castle. the stage itself is there but the entire background is pitch black. Know how to fix that?

You have to change the rel file. Hyrule and Zebes do not use the same module.

Do you have a Final Destination .rel (about 14 KB) for that custom stage? If you need one, go to http://www.lakora.us/rel/ and choose "Final Destination" as base and STGCUSTOM as replace.

About the messed up stage select - the best thing to try would be to:
*make a copy of my MiscData[80]
*add in your changes to the stage icons/names
*take that MiscData[80] and put it in your common5

Ok so can someone help i used rivo for gecko users and got the gecko version of this pack to get the gecko version am i supposed to not move the riivo xml? Oh yeah is it ok if some stages are called stgcustom01etc instead of STGCUSTOM01 etc cause when i downloaded it some stages are capitalized and some are lower case. Whats the stgheal for? I really want this pack but im not sure how to install even when reading the how to install readme.

Don't move the riivo xml - it should be fine.
Stage files aren't case-sensitive, so stgcustom01 is fine.
The stgheal actually shouldn't be there, so your can delete it.

That sounds more like you have some code that makes the background not to show for some reason. Maybe a stage freeze code or something? Cause, if I'm not mistaken, all the Hyrule versions I've made have the background together with the castle models...

@Ernie, I'm gonna update Fourside soon, and there's probably a newer Hyrule in the vault right now, just check if you prefer that one in the pack.

It's one of the newer Hyrule stages. Hyrule in Eldin. Do you think If I put it over the Hyrule castle you have in there that the stuff would all work fine?

If it's one of the Hyrule in Eldin ones, then I guess you'll need an eldin rel. Or, instead, changing the index of the modeldata 0 to be modeldata 1.

In this case the background are castle are separated, so the problem is the rel file for sure. Go to http://www.lakora.us/rel/ and select Eldin as the base, STGCUSTOM as the replace.

I would assume you could, but remember that the mentioned .rel generator has been around longer than that complete .rel pack on the vault, so I'd take the safe route and go with the more established generator.

Of course, my comment might as well be pure opinion, as I haven't tried either method yet. :P

I'd kinda like to keep Glacial Peak, because it's unique in that it has icy surfaces, but it's not as crazy as Summit. Any of the others I'd be willing to part with, though.
