Sounds like you're really putting a lot of effort into this...if I had a bag of cookies every last one of them would be yours

Some of the looping sound effects kind of got in the way when doing his modifications, Jaklub taught me how to use the base wave box to remove the looping.
By checking the box and using a wave ID of a sound that doesn't loop, I was able to remove the loop effect altogether. This helped alot for Ike-Roy. And I'm doing both of them at the same time so they'll probably be released at the same time.
I removed the delays and fixed the sound effects for Roy so he's done, I'll just release it with Ike-Roy. This is a headache upon headaches, so the Ike-Roy & Marth-Roy would only be the only multiple port sfx hack I'll do as a request. I wont touch the ness or yoshi etc. People will have to find their fix somewhere else.

Wow, after reading over the last few posts it really seems like you've burned yourself out with this...You should probably take a little break for a bit. ...But I have a couple of small questions, though. 1. How do I use the Sawnd file that you recently released on the vault? 2. For inserting sounds, you need to have a corresponding .dat file. Where can I obtain these? (Can they be extracted via Sawndz? I'm interested in doing SFX edits for a few other characters, but I don't know where to find these...) 3. Erm...Just a teeny tiny little suggestion that you don't have to do right away, or maybe I could do it if it's not so hard, but... Previously, Roy's Audio clip 16(From his voice sounds) is currently the "EEEGYUH!" used for an un-charged Flare Blade, and I was wondering if that could be made back into a damage voice clip? I was thinking of swapping it for this clip; http://www.mediafire.com/?3kcy7b876cegwyxAlso, the "EEEGYUH!" clip I would like to have replace either Audio 34 which is 72 seconds long, or Audio 35 whihc is 81 seconds long. These are both nearly identical sounds of the swipe his Up B makes(These are from his other SFX category, the ones that aren't voices) Would that just be a simple Sawndzing in, or...Would it be a little more trouble than that? If it's something I couldn't manage myself, I don't want you to dive in right away. You needs a vacation Mr.Raijinmaru. Also I'm really thankful for all the trouble you've gone through for this. :3

Now with the new sawndz you DON'T NEED .DAT FILES Just the .wav sound 3. ... Tell to raijin...

Well I probably will take a break. I'll also start doing some other things while I'm at it. There is alot of hacks that I wanted to make but lost interest with, and some that I wasn't really all to sure with, requests in general. So I hate to say goodbye to most of my hacks I wanted to make, but I'm also canceling others that seem redundant.
I'm taking a little break and starting fresh on new stuff and stuff. Sawndz 0.11 is really easy to use, you just can't go over D00000, or at least hitting in the E's for some characters. If some sound effects are to long, then you may need lower the frequency to reduce the size or cut some silence for the sample.
No need to use dat files anymore, just jave a wave with the right frequency and there you go. I'll edit all I can for Roy, and get back to you sometime later.

That's good to hear, thank you :3 Really glad that the new Sawndz is easier to use and doesn't require .dat files now :3 *goes to download*
@'D.' I tried to PM you about the animation issue you are having, but it said "could not find member" whenever I tried to send my message to you ;_;

I feel a little bit better now that I rested up from the hacks. Yet the focus on the actually work I have to do for college is slipping now. They're around like a A- kind of area now, because of my poor memory skills and that learning how to paint on weights on a model is not as easy as the tutorial video makes it out to be.
And my concept story got excellent grades but now it doesn't quite flow anymore and I'm not all to happy about it. Since I'm almost near the end anyway, I'll probably come back and upload stuff when I'm done with my classes. I may do things on the side but I might not be around to update the thread. And Even though it may say I'm logged in, I'm probably AFK.
Long story short, school outlook is bad, taking some weeks off to fix it. This is probably where the stress and pressure is really coming from....

Thats understandable Kyubey and I hope things go well for you. Im actually going to try my hand at it to lighten your burden and also because im generally interested in making sfx. I have a few questions if you don't mind answering them. - How can I tell which sounds to replace for Marth with Roy, for example like how will I know what sound to replace for their little Double Edge Dance combo. I know how to sample the sounds in BrawlBox now but they don't exactly tell you what animation/attack they're for - The actual swapping of sounds, how do I do it? Do I take my wav, open Sawndz and hit insert and go find the sfx I want to replace? And this business about frequency..im guessing I have to mess with that in some music editor program to make sure it matches or is lower than the frequency of the sound - I remember you mentioned something about you having a little trouble with the Flare Blade charge looping. Is there anything special about replacing Marth's sounds with Roy that I need to be aware of? Like if im gonna run into problem with swapping certain sounds and how they function? Man, if you don't mind, if you could just walk me through the beginning steps, I've been trying to get help on actually getting started on actually making Sawndz but I haven't been having any luck with anyone responding to me here AND on Smashboards..its a little disheartening but I understand people have their own things going on and don't have time to tend to the noob farms

1. First you need ssbbtailsfan's SFX ID text files to help id the sounds, then you may need the samsh attack (PSA) to find which sound clips are actually used for the move. I'm sure there might be an easier way, but I don't know it so this is what I do to Identify sfx. 2. The actual swapping of the sounds is as difficult as it used to be now, though you may still have to change the frequency of the sound using Audacity or if you have money, Goldwave. If the original sound is 44000 or something like that, then it would probably be best if you matched it or made the frequency lower, so it wont be so big. And be careful when doing this, because you can easily get carried away and go over the limit for the character and make them completely mute during gameplay. So if a sound is too long, you might want to take down the frequency of it, or find a smaller one. And make sure to take away any unneeded silence on the end of some sound and voice clips. 3. When dealing with some characters sound clips not voice related, there will be some sounds that will loop for them, in this case it will be one of Ike's neutral B moves. I needed it not to loop, so I talked to Jaklub about it and that's where the Base Wave ID check box comes in. using another wave that doesn't loop as a base, I was able to get rid of any trace of the original loop effect. I see almost everything else in the resource page in the vault except music editing programs, I'll ask an admin or moderator about adding audacity to the resource page. But here are the things you will need: ssbbtailsfan SFX ID (very helpful) http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=21652.0Vault Resource page (for the smash attack (PSA program) http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/Resources.phpAudacity (the free one) http://audacity.sourceforge.net/That's pretty much it, I wish there was more so I can pull off a target back to school commercial bit, oh well. If you didn't understand what up there then I can walk you through it, I did the same thing for Thany.

Alright I will later on today. And I really don't want to rain on your parade, but be careful on double posting. I'll try and reply faster so this wont happen often. I'm glad you are getting the hang of sfx hacking.
