@808 Dark: I said earlier that I use Gecko OS I think.. Anyways yeah, I use Gecko OS. No idea how riivolution works. So if I add those files then should the game not freeze at the Stage Selection Screen? Also, what is the difference between common5.pac and common3.pac?

@msp26: What? No I know where the file goes lol, when did I say I was guessing about placing the csps? I'm putting the picture of Seph (100% it is the proper size) over the slot of default Marth, which is "marth1_big.tga" I believe.

Common5 is for Icons (Apparently also for sc_selmap, but idk), and Common3 is for Items. Anyway, delete common5.pac (or back it up, but that's besides teh point). Then create a new folder named menu2 in the pf folder. Then move all CSPs to sc_selcharacter.pac (DL: http://www.mediafire.com/?w3z2czzj4t5) and sc_selmap isnt needed to play, it will just load the normal one (but if you want it: http://www.mediafire.com/?zmlmmymadzm), then take out the _en part. Put it in the menu2, and it should work.

Well, after RSBE, there is a pf AND a pfmenu2. For pfmenu2, all I know is that mu_menumain.pac and sc_title go there, and at the time I assumed you were a Riivolution user  Kirby Dance

Just ignore pfmenu2 for now. It doesnt matter unless you want to change the title or MENU around. The CSS and SSS (Where you select the character and stage) is in RSBE/pf/menu2. I know it seems confusing, but it isn't after a while. the sc_selcharacter and sc_selmap goes into the menu2 inside of the pf folder. So ignore the RSBE/pfmenu2. From here on, I'll make pf/menu2 -> menu2 and pfmenu2 -> pfmenu2. Ok?

Okay so here's the thing Now. I now have sc_selmap and sc_selchar in this directory:

    H:\private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\menu2

And I have the common5.pac file in this directory:

    H:\private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\system

I am using all default files (fresh common5.pac, sc_selchar, sc_selmap) and am NOT using any custom CSP's.

I have ONLY the file patch code active via cheat code manager, and am using Gecko OS.

It has come to my attention that I believe one of my Stage mods were corrupted. The only things that I have modded are Sephiroth over Marth, and a bunch of songs. I am currently redoing the CSP procedure to see if my suspicions were correct. The game has been running fine with just the Sephiroth over Marth mod. Let's see if it will with the CSP on there as well

OKAY. The CSP of Sephiroth now shows up at the Character Selection Screen over Marth's default color. The game does not freeze at the Character Selection Screen, but as soon as I hit start, it freezes at the Stage Selection Screen. I have NO idea what could be causing this as I do not have any stage mods anymore (deleted them all). What could be causing this? x_X

Try deleting common5.pac? just to be sure. Also, I dont think its a stage mod. If your running only the File Patch, then it might be common5. Just delete the system folder? Cuz the only time I use the system folder is for item hacks. If its a stage mod, it usually freezes when you actually load the bad stage (well, for me anyway)

I think you missed a point lol,
The sc_selcharacter is needed to use CSP's
BUT because you put the sc_selcharacter in a different folder, the common5.pac is just useless:P

and if you didn't know, the sc_selcharacter is IN the common5

Actually, I knew that it is in there, but I noticed when I downloaded MasterLinkX's Custom Pack, I didn't see a common5.pac. Also, I dont use the system folder at all (I dont like how Items can lead to disastrous effects so theyre off all the time). I don't include system and it works fine for me all the time, minus sc_selcharacter being oversize. Also, about what you were saying, moving sc_selcharacter to menu2 makes it useless
