I think the ninja pin could be further used for Admin assisting, since it takes an attentive lurker to ninja an unlucky foe's poor post.

I agree that the ninja thing should have to do with lurking.  How about something along the lines of having under a certain number posts while still having 2 or 3 pins. Proving that you are part of the community but prefer to lurk.

Also why not have a collector pin for having a lot of pins.

Cool idea, but I'm not sure the higher-ups would like to go around removing awards every time a new hack makes it to the top.  Besides, what about stage hackers and the like?  

Well, that's the kind of award that will be discriminating between hackers. Kinda like how the Contributor awards are almost dedicated to Music Hackers.
I'll try to think of a Stage-exclusive award to compensate for that.

Also, we decided to avoid removing awards except maybe for team badges or "positions" like Gaming Server Host, etc...
So basically, once you hit the Top of a character, you keep the award, even if someone else gets the award as well.

Also, I've had a look at the Vault: most characters have a rather important gap between #1 and #2 downloads, so I'm pretty sure the ranking won't change THAT frequently.

Now this I like, but I think it could be expanded.  Why limit it to December?  Taking up other people's requests should be encouraged.  It fosters a sense of community and the makes more people happy.  I say that the award should be for people that take up a certain number of requests (but not music requests for obvious reasons) and  it can be awarded at any time of the year.

So, to recap our ideas right now :

- Award for "Top Downloaded for one Character"
- Award for doing a request in December (will be expanded later on).
- Award for collecting awards (lol).
- Award for being awesome without spamming posting much. (Design already done)

Well, you're certainly right about the size of the gaps.  If you're OK with it, I see no reason to argue with you.  I'm sure it'll work out for the best.

Damn.  Hadn't thought about that.  It would be kinda hard to track.  A test-run does seem like another good idea.
