Holy crap, you work fast. I'll try to show some updated screens soon. Heh heh...It's Saturday and I got the time to work on stuff. Anyways, haven't done anything more as of now, but here's a pick of an FE13 merc: See where I'm basing my guess from? I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

See what I mean? All of the major details are the same leading me to believe Roy's class is based off of them. So his sleeves would probably be the same. Since I have the time, guess I'll get to the sword sooner than expected. Few...Trying to knock off as much as I can today because I won't have much time until tomorrow night to work on him again.
EDIT: LOL. Roy's not actually wearing his cape. He's just holding it. That explains why I was thrown off with his shoulder area while trying to figure out where the cape came from. That said, I'd say this supports the "Sleeves are identical" theory.

Don't rush yourself, you guys can take your time with this, really I'm completely patient and I'm sure others may feel the same way. In a short amount of time, the hack is really looking epic already.

@ExorcistRain The model is fabulous! It looks just like the picture now I'm loving the shoulder armor and the texture details all around. On a side note, I just noticed the new Roy is left handed >.< Not that it matters for the hack, but I wonder why the developers decided to make him lefty now...maybe to differentiate him more from Marth? Roy's always been a rightly...

...Maybe one with and one without the cape? I like the cape personally. About the strap, I was gonna update it to match your vertex! If you want to edit it though, go right ahead. The Model looks amazing! From here, I can see where to update a few textures so they'll look better (particularly the knee pad portion of the boots) Funny about him being a lefty now. I say we just ignore it and continue on anyways.

I agree. I'll do 2 versions with and without the cape I guess then. And don't forget to texture his long sleeves.

Thanls, and it depends on whether this is becoming a rig or just a vertex if I do the hair. I do think the old Roy's face would look kind of off. I also forgot to mention that I made Roy's torso slimmer like Vert did with Marth.

I also forgot to mention that I made Roy's torso slimmer like Vert did with Marth.
I actually think Roy's old face wouldn't fit. The designer changed him up a bit (his head is a bit longer and chin more defined). It's part of the reason I did it over Ike. At any rate, I'll do a red hair and a blue haired version of this. Thus far, we have planned: Cape version No Cape version I'll likely include both a red & blue haired version inside. Nice stuff Exorcist. This is looking real good. Man...I suppose I'll need to plan to do one for Ike whenever his redesign is released :p

Whoa, I missed a lot of posts!! First things first, I kinda like the new design for Roy but I have to say he doesn't really look like Roy. But the design looks great, maybe not too fitting with the character, but it doesn't look bad either. But the new Leaf looks much better than Roy, I might try modelling him as well. I'm really excited to see how they redesigned Celice as well ^^
The vertex of Roy looks nice, but it's a vertex, thus being limited. You could try to add parts of other models. You could go for the face Thany designed and model new hair, because the melee hair won't work. I would suggest using a Radiant Dawn model as a base for the hair, maybe ranulf, stefan or even Zelgius. The biggest problem is the face, if you use Ike's face it would look too reminiscen of Ike's brawl model, so yeah, guess the best solution is using Roy's vertex face with thany's improvements and new hair, based on a radiant dawn model.
As for my progress with spirit marth, I didn't make more, I might do something mode later today. And ExorcistRain, Could I use tha Falchion you made for Krom in my marth? That could save a lot of time.
