Yes that is possible, just put the things you don't want patterned on an above layer.

Armor should have a reflective pattern layer Scales should have a reptile/snake patter layer Leather should have a leather/material pattern layer
Well in the layer with the reptile skin erase the areas where the armor and leather are, then make a new layer to have the leather texture, then give the armor a bit more contrast, make a seperate material for the armor and give that one a shine.

I make YouTube videos, SM64 hacks, Brawl Hacks (obviously), NSMBW hacks, and GoldenEye 007 Mods. I also have a short attention span and tend to switch around a lot and put things on hold. But when I do finish things, 95% of the time I gave 120% effort, the other 5% of the time I give 100% effort.

How do you move it above? Create a new layer, merge them? I really don't know much about Photoshop when it comes to layers and merging. Well in the layer with the reptile skin erase the areas where the armor and leather are, then make a new layer to have the leather texture, then give the armor a bit more contrast, make a seperate material for the armor and give that one a shine.
So, I merge the skin onto a layer with the pattern, erase everything I don't need (armor, etc)? Then lather, rinse, repeat?

Well I use Gimp because it was free, and I'm pretty used to it, not much knowledge on PhotoShop. :\

Layers are like... like layers. If you have an image with only the leather, just put that above the skin. like this Layers: 2-Stuff you don't want with scales 1-Scales 0-stuff you want with scales
You don't need to merge them, there is something called blending options, that make it "blend" onto the layer below, there are many settings you could try here to make it look cool. Or just make this scale layer semi transparent and stuff. You don't necessarily need them merged. You can move layers however you want once they are created. just drag and drop them.

Makes sense, As you can see in the picture, all textures are in one file and not separate, so it gets difficult. I just cut and paste each type in a different layer is what you're saying? Because I can't seem to have the patterns in each layer, but the one I used affected all layers regardless. That's where I'm getting confused. Edit: Never mind, I think I found what I was looking for, the tricky part is remembering how I did it so I can do the leather, etc.

looks so much more devilish and it has more depth Excellent, so I'm headed in the right direction for my first real texture hack. As for getting the same effects for the leather, armor, etc. gonna need to do more experimenting.

Also if the armor are in seperate polygons, make sure to give them a shine. Well, he's only two objects, one does the body and the other controlling his eyes, not sure how to make them shine though....sorry. Still can't figure out how I made the scales scaled, but the armor, leather I can't do it as it overrides what I did.

Wait so both eyes are one object? Unless you don't plan on eyemovement, the eyes need to be seperate in order for them to move correctly in animations.

Nope. Not animating, I've no experience and it's bad enough I can't learn how to properly edit textures in different layers with good results.

Velen, i modeled Megaman Zero cause I wanted to model Megaman Zero (just liek how i modeled espeon, and plan to model the 4 gaurdians), not for some fake glory like downloads. Wanting him in brawl didn't come till later on in his development process. I made my model from scratch, he got his via import. All that matters to me is how far i can push my modeling skills, if at the end of the day I have done the best I can do, I am happy. This doesn't hurt me at all, I'll still continue to UV map the model. but if anyone wants to see what I've done, here ya go. Again, adding him into Brawl wasn't my intention Velen, it wasn't his sole reason for existing, i made him cause i wanted to. (and yes that is hitman: absolution running in the background XD) Ooh, looking good so far! Funny, just the other day I was just thinking about how great it would be to see him in a Smash Bros. game.
