I feel as if though I offended you somehow.  It wasn't my intention to nag you about not making high resolution textures with high poly models, but observing that one of the more well-known stage hackers creates stages in the look they had from the original game they came from.

I do see it the way you do, in many cases.  Especially OoT... Every time I think about a cutscene from the game, it's harder to imagine it with the more recent 3DS graphics than it is to remember its N64 look.  I've said this before somewhere, but the quality of the hacks isn't necessarily dependent on the graphics, but on the functionality and creative elements thrown in.  I believe that's why your name carries a lot of weight on in the Brawl hacking community.

EDIT: As for making the hacks for yourself, well... I figure that everyone would make hacks for themselves as well, whether it is for the enjoyment of making content, or sharing with others, or just because you want to use whatever hacks you make the way you like it.

Sharing it is just so everyone else can enjoy it with you.  I get all that.  And I have always been one to appreciate such gestures of kindness.  This Vault wouldn't exist (or much of the internet, for that matter) if people refused to share their work.

Don't worry, you didn't offend me at all, more than that, I guess it was an interesting question.

The N64 era has been very important to me and keeping things as they were before is my way to honor those good times.

Thanks for your kind words Wink

About what you say in the edit, I don't know if I've said this anytime in the past, but one of the things that made me start with stage hacking was the fact that somebody showed some stage hack and didn't share it. I tried making it by myself and I found it easy and fun. Then I shared it with everyone.

i just wanna keep the thread alive here. i have an idea regarding your scrapped Mighty Poo stage idea, M2000. what if with the brstm that comes with it, the singing [censored] moves its mouth with the words from the songs. doesnt need to be deadon of course, but just when the words happen. all the other parts without words he just sits there doing his left-to-right movemnt. since i dont play with items, the track wouldnt desync with the GMP.
again, just an idea if u wanna revive the stage... after your other stages of course

Threads don't become necroposting grounds until 21 days after the last post.   Which is me 3 days ago...
Also, M2000, do you plan to work on any other Melee stages?

Pausing would still throw it off.

It would have been a better suggestion if sound and music were paused along with the action.  But alas, that just isn't so.

Could you add the music in as a sound effect?

And also, no one knows how to add sound effects. Or hazards.
Most of the people looking at rels look at characters, not stages, so we're stuck with just collisions and animations, for the most part.

Why aren't people looking at stage rels?
PW has developed the Plug & Play rels for certain characters and SonicBrawler plans to work on it more when he/she/i dunno gets back.
Seems like neglegence in a category needed to develop stages!

So the stage has finally been uploaded, hooray!  So excited.  However I notice Mewtwo, you mentioned it can go over multiple stages, what do these stages include because I attempted to place it over Rumble Falls to no avail...

actually, it can only initially go over final destination and/or luigi's mansion, but there is a way to put it over more than just those two. go to advanced search and type in "final destinatin .rels" (no quotation marks). one thing should pop up. instructions are in its description. this also allowed me to put many final destination stage-overs on stages like bridge of eldin (hyrule castle in project m), melee yoshi's island (yoshi's story in project m), rainbow cruise, and MANY more. i especially like the Nahatomb and giant Captain Falcon hands stages. anyway, hope this helped.

I didn't see a readme and the instuctions were basic.  So obviously I place this in the module folder, but does this mean I can still only have one final destination stage? I'm confused as to how it exactly works?
