Wii stops reading SD?

I've been having this issue recently.
The game loads, and everything works fine. But on the first match, about 5 seconds in, the replaced music gives place to the original one and once I quit the match, the original STGRESULT is there, as if I had taken my SD card off. Same when I enter the CSS, it's all blank because it can't read the CSSROSTER file. I leave the CSS, take the SD card off and plug it back, and everything is normal. But in a few moments, the same happens.
What could possibly be causing this?

I'd say the card. I've been told of problems like this before, but we didn't manage to get an accurate answer, cause the person just put the hacks in the iso and stopped using an sd card. That's fine if you're just playing, but that's not ok when you're a hacker...
Dunno, try another card if you can do so...

I've experimented a bit. It only starts to happen when I use Mario or my clone link (Dark Link).
I'm pretty sure there is an issue with my Mario's BrawlEx files (to give him 10 costumes), because even though the CSPs show extra costumes, it loads the default costume when one of the added costumes is selected. So, messed BrawlEx files could be the cause...
As for an issue with the SD, I've turned the Wii on and left it for about 15 minutes on the main menu of the Wii, and the SD card icon stayed blue. With that, I guess I can say for sure it isn't the Wii-SD connection.
EDIT:
Turns out there is some sort of issue on reinserting the SD card. I know for sure I'm using SDHC Extension V1.1, so there shouldn't be an issue.

Uhm, my SD went with the same problem. What I did to fix it was re-do the RSBE01.gct file. I also "deleted" (obviously I had a backup) the files and re-putted then in the SD. Worked well.....
