I don't think so. The version in the brawlvault resources seems to let you bypass the anima8tor step if you use 3DS Max. My Windows 7 has a graphics card that doesn't support Anim8or. So I always got that error message. I tried using that one since I read somewhere that Akari-Un uploaded one he didn't want to but left it anyway. That one doesn't seem to need Anim8or since I can vertex now and I only have 3DS.

Are you saving with anim8tor? That error was the one I got with the original vertex box when I tried to import a 3DS Max model without saving it with anim8tor first.
Anyway, vertex box uses java, it should work for any operative system with java installed O.o

I do have everything up to date, and yes I am saving it with anim8or, because at the moment, I am using only anim8or. I do actually have 3ds max on this computer but when I try to just start the program it complains of configuration settings being incorrect... and I don't know how to fix that.

Well, I'm putting through Anim8or, using Vista on a laptop, and I get the abnormal polygon thing too. I'll look into the Anim8or vertex box, that could be the solution for me.
