I'm curious as to how the blending tool really works. Like let's say you're rigging the shoulderNJbone and near that there are three vertex rings. The right-most ring is nearest to the BustN bone and the left most ring is near the ShoulderN (with the middle ring right about ShoulderJ). If you bent the shoulder at ShoulderJ and it's getting distorted on on the right most vertex ring, you would blend those to ShoulderN (the closest to the right ring)? I need some clarification on how blending actually works. Or would pressing the +/- on the influence for certain neighboring bones. Update 6:12 PM The project's coming along a lot better than I expected

So close, so very, very close! Just a few stray vertices to fix (I think) Although it was difficult to rig, I feel as though I'm still learning a lot and making progress.

Thanks. when i'm done with it, it will have flashing lights, bouncing speakers, and dancing robot girls. pretty much exactly how it was in the actual game So close, so very, very close! Today I discovered something really interesting. I saw a request for a model of Gokai Red (a red power ranger, but pirate rangers or something) and noticed the model was already rigged. I tested a method that randomly came to my mind and to my surprise IT WORKED!! Have a look at my (and probably THE, not sure) first model import in which I had to rig nothing. I imported it over marth's bones and kept the original rig, not sure if that had been done before, but it is new to me . The method should work with any alrady rigged model as long as his structure is similar to the character it'll be over.

I think I may know how to do it. does it involve renaming the original bones and saving the skin?
