Reviewing FoD...
On February 16, StarWaffle posted
this in SWF. The next day, he posted that he wasn't going to make the stage, and I decided to take the project for him. So he sent me the model and textures.
This is how the stage looked when he posted it:
That same day, after getting the model, I started the stage. I posted it in
SWF.
This is the stage on February 17
Vertexed the main platform to be only one level, and sized out some of the columns, which were annoying to play.
The next day, I uploaded this picture
And the stage got abandoned to focus on other stages like Mushroom Kingdom or Fourside.
The next picture was uploaded in May 5, and dates from March 26. This picture was later used here in my KCMM thread to show the stage.
Then people started talking about model importing and such, things like ripping the whole stage from melee and import it to Brawl. That wasn't good to me, it isn't funny just to get a file, convert it, and place it inside Brawl. It's just... importing... and I don't like it.
Anyway, a ripped model could be a good thing to make the stage more accurate, so I was given the rip, as this picture states:
And I decided to get the project back. On September 29, I posted this video showing the stage before starting to work on it:
And well, these are the screenshots I took after that:
October 24:
A new youtube video was made:
And nothing more until yesterday. Now I'm really getting serious. Latest pictures, from yesterday:
Fixed where the water falls from.
Re-vertexed the model and textured it with textures from melee. Changed the lighting.
A few fixes related to the vertex and texture. Deleted some parts of the stage that are not meant to be there. And after that, I vertexed the platforms, placed the spouts in the right places, and included some minor decorative models for the main stage. No pictures taken yet.
More pictures and advances today, and maybe a new video. There's a lot to do if I want to make it look similar to the melee one, I need at least to include the background elements and animate many things. But that will be seen when it's done. Soon. I hope >_<
PS: Oh, on a side note,
this stage was released not much ago, with the original Klonoa model. Also, StarWaffle asked me for the model and textures he sent me in February to make his own try to the FoD stage. The result was his '
broken dreams' stage.
