u know my alien over yoshi is rigged psa friendly one of my best rigs i can say and it comes in different versions i just cant wait to hear him in action u know, like with sfx and stuff i am for sure updating the spec maps too now; does anyone know if the mugen version has sounds? maybe i can rip the sfx from there...
There is like 10 or so different Xenomorph types in mugen, all made pretty well and they all have sounds. So yes, getting sounds from there should not pose a problem at all Post Merge: March 28, 2014, 06:09:10 PM
Nice. So it was the Xenormorph I was looking for. Not bad. So, I made a Wait1 for the Praetorian. Not shown is it waving its arms back and forth during the second half. Will make a gif tomorrow. I like how that looks Another thing that will probably really make this very different compared to a drone is that you'd usually see the drone on all fours while the Praetorian is much more bipedal ^^ Really looking forward to see progress on this project. It has all my attention X3

Would anyone be able to rip said MUGEN sounds? I had forgotten that the Praetorian model had come with a size mod, so I got rid of that, and consequently made the model smaller, in order to avoid complications with stuff like Cliff animations. I plan to resize it to about 1,5 times the model's normal size, since these Aliens are decently sized compared to the humans and Predators. I expect to also make team recolors for it soon.

I expect to also make team recolors for it soon. ive done it before its not complicated about the cliff issue, have u checked in game if there are any issues? i think i made it in a way where it will not mess wit those animatioms

I... might have to change its materials. I edited out the Spe01 texure because I felt it wasn't needed. Now the model keep glitching up. D: The egg and Facehugger have the same glitch. I'll try that out, and THEN make recolors. Next up, I tried to import Bowser's saliva graphics (from his side tauint). I imported everything: the REFFs, REFTs and even the EFLS entry. Still won't work. So yeah. It's a lot of issues and I'd ever get cracking.

Okay, I'm running into a whole host of texture issues with Praetorian, its egg and the facehugger. I changed the materials, shaders and even matched the original's materials and stuff completely. But the textures keep glitching up, and the effect file can't find the facehugger's texture. Keeps borrowing textures. The egg displays properly but the shine is too bright, and you DO NOT want to see what the Alien itself looks like. D: Looks like [censored]ing MissingNo. Halp? D:

why did you messed with the materials in the first place?
i had that problem with rayquaza where he looked all glitched up ingame so i redownloaded the hack exported the texture0 brres and replaced again over my texture brres and saved and that fixed maybe bb corrupted your textures somehow?

It previews just fine in BB, that's the strange part. And I didn't even use the outdated one I use to animate. lol I'll try that. :/

hmm if u need one without edited materials i can find if i have any scenes in 3ds max, or dae files for brawlbox, ill give it to u sometime early this week
on the meanwhile if u have time, u could export dae, reimport and make sure to check redo materials than make sure materials match proper textures and objects, as well as make sure the egg's visibility bone is set up accordingly

Hi, everyone, announcement:
I'll be taking a hiatus from Brawl hacking for a little while. My inspiration and motivation are gone again, and guess what? My crush let me know exactly how she feels about my presence, and it ain't pretty. So, I need some time alone, to think and pick up the pieces of what's left of my heart. I'll be back for sure, I can't abandon you guys nor leave this site lol, I just don't know when. In the meantime, can KJP temporarily lock this thread after any temporary farewells any of you might have? Thanks for understanding,

Thanks, everyone, but I'm much better now. Better enough to come back and resume my activity. My hiatus wasn't long, but it was needed. I'm completely over her now. Oh, and don't think I've just been sitting on my ass not doing anything. I've still been hacking. I've been working on K. Rool, as well as completely revamping Miku's animations, King Cold is still on hiatus for now but as soon as that bug is fixed, he's coming back. Expect a [censored]-TON of new snapshots as soon as I upload them. K. Rool: Landing Heavy: Forward Roll Dodge: K. Rool beating up Elsa from Frozen: I also made his first jab: And Miku. I've completely remade most of the animations I had for her, and shaved 1 KB off her effect file.

Haha! Thanks, dude! Working on Miku again ATM. I'm working on her Win 1, then will proceed to Wins 2 and 3 before resuming work on more misc stuff. I also have to re-do her first jab. KJP was right, my Miku animations really needed to be worked on, and that's what I've spent most of my short hiatus doing. I love Miku with a dying passion (that can be taken so many ways lol) and if I'm the one hacking a moveset for her in Brawl, she deserves a good PSA with the best animations I can make for her, otherwise I'd feel bad. I'll put K. Rool aside for now, alongside King Cold, because a) I have very little motivation to work on him right now, and b) I'm really hoping he'll be revealed for Sm4sh in today's Direct. If he's in Sm4sh, I'll adapt my moveset accordingly. I'm still eagerly awaiting Ness and DK ExModules, but it looks like that'll have to wait. lol
