Hey again, just thought I should share some possibly bad news.
Currently, "Dream Mix TV World Fighters" cannot be emulated through Dolphin.
So, we're basically out of options on extracting anything from that game even if we wanted to. Unless someone can crack the crazy 'music-and-everything-else-too' music archives the game uses.

On the other hand, the first disk of MGS3 is neeeaaarly complete. It will most likely be completed within the week. Then I'll attempt to get my hands dirty.

Slightly unrelated, I managed to find a copy of "Evolution Skateboarding," another game featuring Snake's cameo appearance as well as a unique 'Big Shell' skating stage. MGS2:S had an unlockable demo of this game with those two choices being the only options you could play with.

I thought that if it's emulatable on Dolphin, I might rip his textures from that game and compare them to my other Solid Snake textures out of curiosity. This is mostly a filler for until the first disk of MGS3:S is completed, though.

    Did you attempt the PS2 version of that game as well? Maybe you could attempt extracting from there.

    Well if ripping from the PS2 is as hard as it is, I'll only be attempting to buy/dump/download whatever is actually guaranteed to work on the PCSX2 emulator. Chances are the game uses some crazy format in the PS2 version as well though... But I'll check compatibility if it's available.

    So, that MGS2 disk has now finished downloading. And just in time to avoid xxTerminatorxx's jinx, too. But I'm unfortunately busy with other extraction-related tasks right now, and I kinda want a full day to tackle this possibly mammoth task. So you may have to wait a day or so. Sorry.

    DMTV works on PCSX2.
    The only issue is to make the program actually dump something

    I think I'll still put DMTV on low priority for now...
    Well my computer can run MGS3, just checked. It's so cool Tongue .
    I'll make time to attempt ripping from it tomorrow.

    My Snake is officially done.







    Afgan sent his Snake to somone, then that somone posted the Snake in a thread. I downoaded that Snake, fixed the face and eye textures (Since they were poorly done) and a few other things.

    After a while, I noticed something looked odd. Doesn't Snake's neck look elongated?
    It doesn't show from a downwards angle, but in views such as the second picture you can see a noticable length between the start of his neck and the top of his collarbone. The vertex hack of his collar might be improvable in my opinion.

    Yeah, I agree. I'll get somone to work on it soon. Other than that I think the texture is quite good.

    As the one who did that vertex hack, that's probaly as good as it's going to get.  There's only like four vertices to work with in that neck area, and in order for it to look like the collar of his vest unfortunately there had to be some inevitable texture stretching.  You might be able to compensate for it if you edited the place on the texture where Snakes collarbone is and smeared it a little bit in the opposite direction that the vertices have been stretched.  That's the best solution I can think of.  That's why I just had that whole area grayed out on the texture I included with my original edit was because the neck looked weird.

    By the way Friedslick, how goes the texture ripping?  Shocked

    Unfortunately no, I've still only got the face.  I've just been really busy with school this week.  i'll try and do the hair for you before I go to bed tonight.

    If that's the only problem you've got left, then I'd say we're there.  I'm sure somebody who knows more about 3Dripper could tell you what's wrong, but I can easily fix the coloring using photoshop color picker, color replacement, and screenshots.  Just send me what you've got and we can have Snake done unless you'd rather wait until you can figure out what went wrong and try again.  Since mariokart64n got a rip of eva and snake, try asking him if he ever had the same problem and how he fixed it.  Apparently the only reason he didn't just rip the whole game was because he couldn't get Eva's nude to properly model so he lost interest... lol.

    I'd rather get Snake's proper colours instead of guessing them.
    Tonight I'll try a later version of 3D Ripper DX and a different version of the plugin I'm using, and fiddle around until I find the best combination.

    I'm planning on asking mariokart64n about it as soon as they come back, if I don't work it out myself.
