Yay, Philia is back!
What do you think of adding Kratos's voice effects to the .pac file?
I posted with more detail a while ago towards the bottom of page 20, so you probably missed it.

I would like to hear your opinion.

ArcSage: Of course Kratos's voices need to be put, but it's difficult and long, so you will have to wait. I'm the one who will take care of it. You will have to wait more than usual, for two reasons, because it will use some techniques that I didn't used before (I mean to put sounds longer than the Marth's sounds), and besides, I will have to do it three times! One time for japanese voices, for me, as I use a japanese brsar because the english voice of Ike is mainly just a joke according to me and he is one of my favourite character and in japanese his voice is really good. One other time for japanese voices, for those who use an english brsar. And finally, one other time for english voices, only for english brsar.

I will set the things immediately, I will begin to put the voices for me, obviously because it will train myself, and I will be able to see what can't be done, what can be done. After that, I will make voices in japanese for english brsar, I will have already put japanese voices for me, so it should be easier for me to put japanese voices for the english brsar. And the last, the english voices for the english brsar.

This is the order, and it will remain it. I won't stop until the voices are done unless technical accidents, but it will take me some time, so you'll have to be patient. I will probably make you some news about it some times, but I don't want you to ask where I am with this work, IT WILL BE DONE WHEN IT'S DONE!!! If there are some little jokers, who think amusing to all the time ask where I am with this work, I can assure you that you will pay cash for this! I promised to do this, so it's very important for me to do it, so I will do all what I can to fulfill this promise but if you annoy me, I'm totally free to give up for you because I recall you that if I have the voices, most of you won't have them, so I do this exclusively for you, I take a lot of my time for you. I hope I will be truly understood.

And if you wonder why I made this post, it is in order to prepare all, and to warn all people here, I don't want to feel that I'm pushed by the others, to take an exemple, I don't want to be like SilentDoom and his Deadpool project, this is why I warn you all, all is set, you do what you want, you can play the game, or not, think about it carefully!

I was actually just going to ask if you were gonna make Jap voices too. Cause Kratos' VA is pretty awesome. And I agree, Ike's jap voice is way better than his English.

And about sonic thrust as a dash attack. I like the idea, (Cause I thought of it,) but as Philia mentioned it would look weird. I'll show you why.
Looking at Kratos from a 2D perspective: (Facing Right)

When He Runs, and the sword is behind him so its hard for us to see.
But the first frames of Sonic Thrust have the sword infront so it's more visible.

So it would be strange for Kratos to perform the motion as a dash attack. And I'm fine with that.
Then again, it's what you feel like anyways Divine.

In that case you're lucky, about the voices of Kratos, because it was planned long time ago that I make the japanese voices. I prefer the japanese voices too, the english is still good, excepted the Shining Bind that I really hate...

And besides, the japanese voices are a wink to Kenpachi of Bleach!

Oh, Royal Blade, an information for you: Each time I will make voices for a Tales of character, they will be automatically in japanese, it's as simple as that! But for english, I will make only Kratos, he will be my last character in english voice, here it is said.

That's good to know. The Jap voices for Tales Characters are usually better. But In Kratos' case they both are done really well.

Btw, what's Kratos' Down Smash? Have we changed that from Demon Swarm? (I'm sorry the name sounds like a combination of either Demon Fang and Dragon Swarm, or Demon Hammer and Neo Swarm. So yeah, it needs a change.)

This is a move from Tales of Eternia, as I heard.

I already said there are some coherent possibilities.

We can put Victory Light Spear which would eject down at between 25 and 45 degree down with the last hit, but it annoys me a little to have this move honestly, but it would fit him perfectly!

We can put a move directly taken from his shining bind, and very similar to Philia's forcefield. Kratos would put his sword close to him, and create a pillar of light surrounding him which would hit those close to him. It's an original move, so original that there are probably some people who won't like it.

And the last one is the guardian field, which normally would be able to heal a little Kratos even if he doesn't hit the opponent, but it shouldn't eject.

Here are the moves that we can put.

I like Guardian Field for reasons that it would fit perfectly in my opinion.

Also when does Victory Light Spear ever eject down? He spin up into the air then slashes again in the air and falls. (Which I believe is his Up Special.)

Also, why not put Fierce Demon Fang as a Down Smash. Replace Sonic Thrust with Super Sonic Thrust (or Hurricane Thrust) for Side Smash. Move Demon Fang to Down Tilt.

And put a second set of basic attacks for side tilt. (Like how Metaknight's side tilt is a 3-hit combo if a is pressed 3 times.) But use different motions and is 6-hits (Yay Eternal Slasher!)

The motions for side tilt can be a thrust and horizontal slash repeated. (6 times max.)
While the basic attack can have a forward vertical slash and an upward vertical slash repeated. (6 times max.)
How does that sound?

Neo Swarm is from Eternia (or Destiny II in some places) which was the local term for that game as Sword Rain: Alpha which I did say it looked like it to begin with.

No, Fierce demon fang shouldn't be put as a down smash, it wouldn't really disturb me, but if we have a down smash which fit him and can hit in both sides, I prefer this, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.

Sonic Thrust is really good where it is, so I don't think it needs to be removed or even replaced or moved.

The side tilt is a very bad idea. If we want the eternal slasher skill, it is much better to put it in the neutral attack and activate it when conditions are fulfilled. And put the same neutral attack but with more slashes as a side tilt, it is really a lack of imagination, or the work of a lazy person...

Oh, I forgot to mention, the problem of guardian field is that it is a move that is already used, as a spell.

And do you think we could remake a tales styled basic attack system for Kratos? Like how Pit's Neutral Attack can do two things depending on the player's actions. One if we press the "A" button to do a Forward vertical Slash, and again to do an Upward Vertical Slash, and etc. for Eternal Slasher. But if the player holds the "A" button down, he could perform: Forward Vertical Slash->Horizontal Slash->Forward Thrust (Or however Pit's held A works) consecutively. With the thrust applying minor knockback.

It wouldn't be remaking. My idea started as a remake then ended up altering the remade system. So call it whatever you want.

Absolutely not, the Up special is light spear, and should stay as light spear, in all Kratos's moves, it is his best way to come back on the battlefield as it is a move that originally allows him to go up, then to go forward.

And about the remake idea, I don't think it is necessary, especially if there are 6 slashes implemanted, because if the thrust like you says has minor knockback, then all the following combos have the possibility to be done for absolutely nothing. And I really don't see why we should try to make a remake like you says about this, because what does it do in fact? It is only a change of animations, nothing more, it doesn't worth at all to spend some time like this for so little. Besides, it's absolutely not the same thing, it is two ways of doing 6 slashes. If it was a way to do 6 slashes, and a way to do quick slashes without stopping, if you keep A like it is nearly already the case with this animation called attack 100 if I recall corretly, it would have worked perfectly, but as making quick slashes like this doesn't fit Kratos at all, I think there is only one way left.

You know that Light Spear has Kratos spiraling up then lunging down at an angle eh?
While Victory Light Spear has Kratos spiraling up then slashing again in the air which knocks back the other character. Wouldn't that be more of an Up Special than Light Spear?

Also, didn't we agree that "Light Spear" would be the dash attack? Or at least a good one?

I would like both versions in case by brothers don't want to listen to the Jap voices. (Which they don't care for.)

Anyway, I got permission from renkaken to recolor his vertex i would like to know which texture is for what?

Also, Divine, can you make a PSA with a flame sword trail and attacks that deal fire damage for renkaken's flamberge vertex?

Edit: I was thinking that Shining Bind needs a tweak here and there.
1) To many start up hits (before the rise)
2) The camera should zoom in on kratos during most or the entire duration of shining bind. (not too much but it should at least cover 1/2 or 2/3 between where kratos stands and the end of the glyph.
3) Should not have critical hit's effects and instant kill ability. (even though Shining Bind does kill...)
Other than that, it looks good.

? I thought the light spear idea was a mere joke isn't it what you already said, I only continued this joke, showing a lot with irony well shown that I absolutely didn't agree with this, if you didn't understand that, I wonder how it is possible...

And for victory light spear, absolutely not! The best move to recover between victory light spear and light spear is light spear, and I already said why, so light spear should be the up special, but the animation again, needs to be modified. And the distance too because here he travels a lot....
