yay i got some things perfected.
but OMG WTF!!! FML!!!! his sword moves didnt work? SAKURAI!!!!!!!!!!! it took me forever to recode those. i was so proud of myself too :'(

i think ill just simplify it just to get it working so itll be playable while im fine-tuning it to perfection
what the sword malfunction means is that the bitvariables will play the compleate subaction of the animation before going to the place they are told to. thats a very interesting find. ill try something else with the sparta kick. i might have to tinker around...oy
the fact that the dash attack is working reveals that im using the variants of the bitvariable correctly and that they are working correctly. thats good.
basicly, i think ill just rework his sword moves to be simpiler and easier. this unfortunatly means that i can only assign one powerlevel per move. therefore, since i want his sword-dash attack for his side smash, that means that whenever ill do a sword dash attack, itll do the same damage as a side smash. that could be bad. what do you think? would that be too broken?
ill keep the C stick as the sword swing attack, but this also means that ill have to change the animations for the downB and Gerudo Razor. i think ill have it where the end of the Gerudo Razor is his uptilt animation, and the end of the Down B will be the sword swing. or the other way around. the problem with this whole thing is that i can only have one value set per animation, regardless of the variables i use. this isnt a fact of the matter, i just think im doing it wrong because the new Soren PSA character can use bitvariables correctly. im just messing up a i guess. idk what im doing wrong, but its definitly something wrong with how im doing it.
im glad to say that i got the timing and spacing and whatnot for his Gerudo Razor EXACTLY as I wanted it. thats great news

also for awesome wins, the up air is working perfectly in every sense (might want to change the green lines to something else tho)

F air is PERFECT in every way

Back Air is fine.
down Air is perfect!

(adding a new down B will be one of the last things added to this PSA.)
up Throw is exactly how I want it. it sends them exactly where you want them to be so you can combo them with an air attack or upB or suicide side B ('Ganocide' as it is known). its perfect. all i want to do is add a lightning bolt coming down on the hit. o and making it so it doesnt freeze.

up smash is good. ill just add a sweetspot at the tip of the sword and its perfect.
dont worry, ill have it go to the sword attack.
but mabe this wasnt the codes fault. u do know that on the elbow attack, ur supposed to press A right? this goes for the counterattack too. that could be the reason u didnt go to it in the video, cuz i didnt hear u press the button.
come to think of it, thats not fair to the player to make the downB need more commands. ill make it auto on the down B. my bad
as for clarifications:
yeah I took off the flames on the up air, i thought it was distracting from the animation. what do you think?
i cant tell but what sounds are in his up air? it sounded like he was laughing? is that true or is that just the sound quality bugging out there?
the color change was ment to be temporary. so yeah its intentional that the red or purple go away after a while or after a sheild or something. thats fine.
like i said earlier, you have to press A (mabe it was B. i think it was A tho. anyway its 1 of those) during the elbow hit of the Down B or Gerudo Razor
the side-taunt sound on his second A was intentional. its a sound effect for hit fist hitting the person. is it good? should i take it out?
im keeping the slide if you DI out of the Gerudo Razor. its cool and usable to trick your opponent.
yeah thats exactly what i needed to see as far as setup goes. i needed to see how his moves affect a large character and a light character in a Brawl match. against a P2 was a good idea. keep doing that. but next time add a third try against Pikachu. i also need to see how his moves affect small characters. for all i know, the hits could be going over Pikachu's head.
heres what ill do for the next update (later today)
change the intro pose. ive got a baddass idea. XD
fix the sword moves. make them similer and usable. they wont be balenced at first, thatll take some tweaking, but at least they will work. they might loook alittle different cuz im changing where the animations go.
im changing his side smash to the lunge attack. this means that his dash attack will be the equivilent to an uncharged side smash (1 step above a C-stick flick). might be cool. might be overpowered. you'll have to be the judge of that.

because im not COMPLEATLY sure how to do this, theres a chance that itll do the swing animation w/ no hitboxes THEN go to the new side smash. if this happens, i apologize in advance

up tilt will work, and will be a genuinly good move. powerful in both senses. alittle more knockback than his sparta kick.
ill try something with the sparta kick. i think itll work but no guarentees. if not, then ill try to fix it in the next update.
im keeping the SFX on the Gerudo razor for now. also, im double checking and making sure that the last hits work.
ill make his DownB not require you to press A during the elbow move.
I'll TRY to fix his down B to not have the wierd animation after each use. i thought i fixed that, i guess i didnt. which means, i deleated something that wasnt supposed to be deleated.

change the green line graphic on his up Air (tell me which one u prefered. u be the judge.)
lightning bolt on the hit of the up throw. idk why its freezing. tell me if it keeps happening.

after this update (assuming i dont mess up his swords), ill be ready to call this the Beta and release in a new post! XD the final will have invincibility in the counter, a custom alternative final smash, be able to be played as normal ganon if you dont have the sword code activated or (optimisticly but not realisticly) not require the sword code at all. also optimisticly, itll have a sword spin alt up B if performed on the ground. in addition, itll have a new arial down B, and , of corse, all the kinks worked out and perfect. thats the goal for the grand release.
things to do before release of the Beta: fix sword moves, perfect gerudo razor, fix freezing on the up throw, and fix his Warlock punch (im having trouble fixing it. ill fix it later tho.
