So because I'm a perfectionist, I'm making a better Rainbow Bowser.  In SM64, Bowser 3 has vertex coloring, and a s*** ton of it too.   Texture is a WIP because I just now noticed how much coloring I have to do, and wasn't finished with it to begin with but I'm going to have to start over anyways. Also I got a white sm64 bowser by replacing his textures with a solid white one, just incase someone was curious about how I got all the colors to appear. Anyways I plan on recreating the Bowser 3 fight with brawl models for a video and since I'd need Rainbow Bowser I figured I'd show him off as I make him and release him to the public. Yes he still has his rig, I'm duplicating most of his model and splitting the two copies in half and using two (half-sized) koopaAll00 textures. Might do some remapping, depends on if I want all the spikes to have the same coloring or make them different like in SM64.....remapping it is. Also don't worry, I'll fix the normals so Bowser doesn't look like he's split in half.

I noticed that that Bowser was cut in half and mirrored, and there's that line in the middle, something I learned recently was that if you add the "Vertex Weld" modifier to the model (the two parts have to be attached) and set the threshold on 0.01, it fuses the two parts together perfectly and gets rid of that line, it is extremely effective

If a symmetry modifier was used it should automatically weld the vertices along the seam if you check the box and set an appropriate threshold.

Typically a good threshold would be about 0.01, then checking "flip".

I hate to be a bother, but I had noticed a great Little Mac custom model that was being made. I'm just dropping by to find out what happened to it.  And yeah, that flipping looks bad on the stomach. Just saying.

Yep, not many people remember it, but he was my first import ever; I just had to re-make it someday... now has FS eyes, metals and all expresions! best hurt face ever

Wow, only took me an hour to fix the normals. Feels like it was so much longer because it's so f-ing boring. O_o  Now to actually do the texture edits. Post Merge: June 24, 2014, 04:13:11 PM
Just showing off how effective using two textures is for the rainbow effect. The shell itself isn't done, but this is to give you an idea of how cool this is going to look.  Also I'll be doing more edits in 3ds max, mainly fixing up the mapping since you can see some errors due to the texture being 512x256 instead of 1024x512 (because file size  ) Be trying to get the same (general) colors at the same (general) spots on Bowser as the SM64 one.  Gonna be so much work.

What's the texture look like, if it's all one texture, then in the materials set it from Repeat, Repeat to Clamp, Clamp.

So my Dialga import has been coming out pretty great so far   but how come whenever he latches back onto the stage using the vines (or the lake gaurdians' tails, lol) he like un-size mods then goes back to his size mod once you let go of it, is there a way to fix that?
