    I liked the fact that the feather color was changed. Gives him more of a dusty Mars feel.

    This is really what I felt was most important. Blue feathers just cannot achieve a true Mars feel at all to me.

    I share the sentiments regarding the black feathers, they're cool, and a little more 'canon' I suppose. Considering there is a default texture with black feathers. However, the Mars theme had warm reds and worn whites being the primary defining colors of the theme, with blacks and yellows as accent colors.

    This is just what I feel most fits the theme. I've not had much time to do much of anything outside of school work and the occasional half hour Smash session here and there. I've been playing with this texture and it's really grown on me. Obviously, we can include more than one version for each character, I believe Pikachu had like 4 Maritime versions, for example. So, I wouldn't stress too much over "which one is the real one". In the end, I think it'll be more worthwhile to provide options for the collection as a whole.

    I think the Falco feather colors I like best are DK1 and MD4.  I love the new G&W colors; how do you make his models have four different colors like that rather than two?  Squares Snake's looking sol... oh, that's been done.

    Oh, uhh I actually couldn't find a way to change ALL of G&W's weapons, but you can control the color of his outline and his fill separately for two collections of his components, as far as I can tell. Some of his weapons just reference the same colors assigned to his body. I'm sure this could be changed, as the colors are just stored in one place in memory and I assume within each component resides a pointer variable that just looks to that location. If you could just reassign all his other weapons to look to the second collection of colors, we could have all of his weapons a separate color. I don't know how to do this in BB, though. :/

    I'll still do Maritime Wolf btw, I just had like no time at all in the last week. I'll try to get an ingame version done by next week.

    Apples' Falco: I like the white feathers, but I feel the texture as a whole is a bit too pale at the moment. I'd suggest to just make all the red darker and more saturated.

    Oh and yeah, I love those new G&Ws.

    Just because multiple versions are okay, doesn't mean you should get sloppy. Not saying you are, but being impatient to release a texture is a good way to get there. The textures that took the most work now often are among the best textures in the project, imo. And the number of both minor revisions and total revamps some textures went through is astonishing.

    I myself liked your second Falco best. It's also the most distinct towards the other two versions, so I think it'd be the most worthy of a seperate release. Still there were suggestions for minor changes for all of them, which you didn't seem to take notice of - you don't have to revamp the whole texture everything you change something. If you really don't want to put any more effort into it, go ahead and upload what you have, but while it isn't bad, I see potential to make it even better. Putting the efforts of many together to get the best possible results is the core of this project's success and what makes it as fun as it is in my eyes.

    Like, maybe try to change the color of the collar to a tone of white similiar to the shirt so it isn't as super colorful and more in line with other Mars textures, think about darkening the feathers (or maybe the west instead) a tad like Zacheart suggested and/or consider other colors for the eye marks like Mithost said. I'd also agree with him to not put a logo on Falco's back as neither Mars Fox nor any other MMM Falcos have it. If nothing works out you can still go back to the old version without having lost much time at all, otherwise your texture just got better.

    Also, it'd be nice to see ingame screenshots at one point before it's released and you could just show those youi'd use for the BV previews beforehand.

    It's a bit harder to get feedback here than it was on Smashmods, maybe making a thread on Smashboards would have been better in that aspect, but that's no reason to stop giving one's best.

    Haha... usually it's rather clear, but right now I suppose it isn't. That's probably because I'm not taking any requests at the moment. If it isn't clear, just ask.

    Also, there's quite a few new "official" versions my CSPs that need to be added to the first few posts. I'll get them all together soon.

    That Falco Apples posted was perfect! And we all know I'm a tough critic.  I see what you did there ... I feel that maybe his dusty feathers could be a tad darker or oranger. But it's totally unnecessary. Those G&Ws are also epic. Particulary Minty.
    Snake looks beautiful.
    Maritime Wolf looks amazing, too. So much good work and just all of a sudden, too! Guess it Spring Break?

    Good Olimar. But I wonder how nice it will be in-game. It's pretty dark and Olimar's awfully small. I'm not worried about it, though. What HDT said.

    question to you people, do you just separate the texture in layers and edit the hue and saturation of every part, or do you do some other weird magic?

    I use Paint.Net, the magic wand is my best friend. Highlight a section of the image, separate it onto a new file the same size as the texture, and save a copy of it if I ever make a mistake, or want to do a whole different recolor. Then I just shift hue, saturation, blah blah blah. Then take the piece and paste it back onto the original. Rinse and repeat until the whole thing is done. Same goes for CSP's, seperate them into different parts, save them as templates, and recolor as close I can to my texture.

    Well, in Photoshop, I find that a combination of layer masks and the color blending option work pretty well. There's probably a better option, but it's the one I like to use.
