I still like the original because desaturating is bad. Looks more accurate in the original

I think I may put each version with them, you know, for those who likes brawl styled characters, I personally prefer the original texture ones but the brawl styled characters has a big audience at these days

I agree with Bakuz, plus "Brawl Styled" don't exactly mean it's just desaturated (and IMO, the colors are fine with the default one) For it to be Brawl Styled, it would need more details, shading in some places ...etc (and depending on how the UV are, maybe redo them too)
But anyway, nice import !

I don't think Brawl style would ruin it, but I also don't think that's quite Brawl styled there. 1. That texture is far too small for the type of detail you were attempting—it looks more like the thick weave you would see on a knitted scarf rather than standard cotton cloth. A larger texture size would allow the texture to be a bit more subtle. 2. Brawl's textures rely heavily on something called ambient occlusion. Ambient occlusion is basically putting shadows where they would appear in most lighting circumstances, such as in the folds and creases in cloth. (LJ basically said this, I just wanted to explain it a bit more.)
The desaturated look is also part of Brawl's style, yes, though personally I don't think that it's necessary to make something look good. Especially with a character such as Sunny Milk, who wears clothing as bright and cheerful as her personality.

Ok then, looks like I'll put my Naz PSA on hold until the day you release her new model. But that one you got there looks epic. If this is a sign of things to come, then I will definitely continue using your imports.

oook I wont make the brawl styled textures for 2hus then -- @tabuu well you can continue the psa, I will just add the rim effect to nazrin, because its the best rig I could make for her anyways, if I tried to rig the model again Id just get a similar result xD but dont worry I will send you the rim nazrin on facebook when I do it

Ah, I see. I just wanted a model with rigged toes/fingers and no size mod. I can resize her myself via PSA.

b-but if you resize the PSA, id have to resize momiji for the resized psa! ;A; also, rigging MMD model fingers to brawl models is technically impossible, their hands just dont match, only to zelda or szamus D:

Oki then, make the size mod. But tell me how to bring it back to Link-size for my PSA. Otherwise some animations glitch up.

yep, with rim effect along with your bff Shou ;o Post Merge: August 03, 2013, 11:59:16 PM
so I tried to make that "brawl styled" thingy did I ruin the model's textures or should I make a brawl styled version of each thing too? judge by yourself with this sunny over Mario https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/102142953/New%20Gate/Sunny.rar Looks good, I prefer brawl style textures. Any character can look good brawl styled, take toon link for example. The red does actually look a bit dark compared to the original though, perhaps making it slightly brighter without adding more color would give it the right look. Also the wings would be a good opportunity to add some creative detail. As far as the cloth textures being too small for the detail, I'd have to agree. Although an easy fix would be to double the dimensions of the original texture and then add the cloth map. That will give you 4 times the detail and make your cloth stitches smaller. As long as you have the file space of course.

3 questions suika over Mario does that mean suika over bowser has been cancelled?
Are you still planning on making a PSA for Yuuka?
Also what programs do you use to make your characters I'm trying to learn to make/import characters for brawl.

The only thing with the "texture" on her clothes is that they are too big. You should try scaling them down and patchworking the texture together so it improves the quality. Good first attempt though.

yes, both flatties are over mario I use 3ds max 11 and brawlbox, go look for some tutorials making textures like that is not really my thing, I understood
also guys, I think its about time to reveal it: I am moving to another city on next Saturday because Im starting the college in next Monday... This means I wont have internet for some days and I will be inactive in brawl hacking for a very long time, at least until I "get in the flow" living there.. because Im going to live alone in some house and all of my classes are going to be in the evening from 2pm to 8pm at my timezone in Mexico
