the balanced version needs to be a bit more balanced Tongue

For example: decrease the knockback on the up throw a bit... and also, the range of his grab extends past his sword a lot and gets really annoying when you're facing a little brother who likes to spam it (A LOT)

The flying thing is VERY cheap (up-b)... needs to be a bit slower or at least not last as long as it currently does (1/2 to 3/5 of the current time span OR 1/2 to 3/5 of the current move speed).

Hmm, other than that this moveset is absolutely EPIC-SAUCE Cheesy great work dude! Wink

<rereads posts> Ok, as someone that doesn't know anything about this character, I think it's a great PSA nonetheless.

    Is it my turn to criticize? :]

    In the 15 minutes I spent playing this, I guess I have a couple of things to say.

    Positive:
    - A couple things were really creative! I liked the D-Air GFX specifically. The throws were awesome too; I was playing around with the sword grab idea in my head for a while, but it was nice to see it finally put into action.
    - The F-Smash kinda grew on me. I really like it =]

    Other Feedback:
    - You should ask permission to add the Sephiroth costume in your download. I wasn't using the vertex and wondered why many of my hitboxes were significantly longer than Marth's sword. At least state in the OP that the PSA is best used with the vertex due to the extended hitboxes.

    - Decrease the vertical distance of the Up-B. Haha, it gives me so much mobility for like no cost ;]

    - The Up-B stalls in the air if you click it really fast after using the Up-B once. Same problem I ran into with Naruto...and I never really found a solution XP

    - The Neutral B feels kinda useless when you have a Side-B that hits in like the same place but faster.

    - Maybe I'll continue this later, cuz I'm running out of time, but this is really, really important...aesthetics! Practicality is definitely important, but a lot of the time it's the flashy lights that really catch people. You'd be surprised how a bit of smoke on the feet, a little rumble on hit, and that really subtle stuff no one really notices really changes the feel of the character. It's the little details that are important; don't rush anything, or it'll be painfully obvious.

    Otherwise, nice work! I really admire all the effort.

    Alright... So, when are you gonna work on this Hollow? You'll need animators to help out...

    Also, I say a mix of all the games he appeared in would be cool, I like some of his KH moves.

    But remember, end lag, he will need it...

    Oh, keep down air, except with more start up lag, and rising upward.

    I'll ask Dingo or Rydia for the animations. This next one WILL be Sephiroth, not some retarded pieced together moveset.

    EDIT: Maybe you could contribute to this, .Fade.

    This will formally be labeled "Fake Sephiroth."

    I'm not going to completely trash the moveset, just change it A LOT to make it a Sephiroth worth being called "Sephiroth."

    In lieu of Safer Sephiroth, call him "Faker Sephiroth".

    I am very excited for a real Sephiroth, and agree that the current one doesn't quite feel like a Sephiroth.


    Sephiroth varies too much between games.
    FF7/CC = Sword and heavily magic based
    KH1/2 = Heavily sword with magic
    Dissidia/AC = Almost purely sword only



    I would personally prefer if you based Sephiroth after more Dissidia/AC. Here's a video for some ideas.

    All I have to say about Sephiroth is that its unbalanced like every other PSA there is.
    Anyone complaining about how unbalanced this is should really realize brawl itself isn't balanced, so demanding a fan to make a balanced PSA is ridiculous.

    I personally liked it, and thought it was creative on how you got the wing in there.

    I'm kind of confused by what people mean by "make him by how he plays normally"

    Sephiroth is only playable in Dissidia...

    Totally agreed, of his taunts, only 1 I like, where he flips his sword a lot, it looks very original, the others, meh... But his moveset is just Cloud, really, can't ask for more concerning it.

    Seriously, you guys need to try out RED NiNjA's Edited Cloud Animations PSA.  He took Cloud Strife 2.5 and did basically everything you just asked for (for example, one of his taunts are the squats that Cloud and Zack always did in 7) plus a ton of other animation fixes. It really makes him feel much more like Cloud.

    On topic, Hollow, this is a great placeholder psa.  Even though it's not quite Sephy it's still close enough to satiate me until you can put together the real thing.  I absolutely love the grabs and I wouldn't change the Up-B.  I am with these guys that something should be done about Supernova though.  It is slaughterific.

    I agree, people want balanced everywhere and for what? Pesonally i like this alot, so i'm keeping this until there is a OP version around.

    Well, the things i dont like from him was the neutral b power, is too strong at full charge, also, i dont like very much the running animation, and the up trow is way too strong, it kills around 70%.
    Other than that, your sephiroth is epic!!!!

    I thik you guys should stop whining about Sephiroth being inaccurate because if you had any comments, you should have gave them out when he made the beta instread of shoving the moves in Hollow's face.
    If you think balanced Sephiroth is too strong, deal with it and add him to the B- roster. I don't understand how people request changing whole moves to new ones when they could have done that a long time ago.
