Question: Just thought I'd ask.......What do you think of Metroid Other M??
It's good. I didn't have any problems with the story or how Samus was portrayed.
I liked the game but I didn't like the way that Samus was portrayed.
I hated it. They made Samus into a whiny little girl.
I hate other M because Samus showed human emotion. I hate human emotion.

    You did Golbez on Ganondorf, not Samus. It wouldnt look like crap since she has armor to begin with, and a helmet.
    They made Battle Suit Adam, not military suit.
    Are they? I assumed they were vertexed.

    I'm pretty sure the Volnutt models are imported from one of the Capcom Vs games.

    I'm restarting Menardi.
    I'll start with her hair this time and work my way down.

    I might not be able to vertex her dress at all at this rate. Unless I can find a suitable Zelda hack to use as a base.

    Can someone find me a Zelda model with a knee-length dress?? Actually, it would need to go just a little below her knees. I'll worry about permissions later. I've looked but can't find one.

    Disregard the last part of my previous post.

    I have started on Menardi again. I will not be editing her dress's length. So in the end, it will not be accurate in that department, but at least I won't have to spend years patching.

    Hair is pretty much finished. Chest plate is basically finished. Boots are done.

    I still need to edit her arms a bit, change the separate cloth of her dress into the "belt cloth" thing if possible, remove the braid tip from her hair, move the pigtail things up and make the bangs with them, edit the face, and lastly bring the tiara into the right position.

    The texture will probably take a while as well.

    I'll try to have a textured preview out by Monday.

    Here's the model's current progress.



    UPDATE:

    Tested the model in-game and it looks fine. The cape needs to be pulled back just a hair so her arms/hips don't go through it quite so much. Otherwise, it remains pretty stationary and looks fine.

    Menardi is still in progress.
    The G&W project was going to be Sheriff, but it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to make it work.

    New poll is up.
    Pico is one of my favorites from the F-zero series.
    At a glance, it looks like a fairly straight forward project.
    The gloves wouldn't have to be changed at all.
    The boots would be easy.
    The head would be the hardest part, but it doesn't look impossible. (I would need to use one of the bald helmetless models right?)
    The shell shouldn't be too much of a problem, as CapFalcon's back is fully texturable.
    Lastly, I might want to bone edit him to be shorter. Pico is about 2ft shorter than cap Falcon isn't he?

    He's just going to have texture eyes from the looks of it. I'm going to line the helmet up with the face right now.

    You're Pico and Menardi vertexs are both coming along quite well so far!  Laugh

    I think after those 2 are done, Release that Classic Ganon you made on King Dedede... I've been wanting that for months now.

    Oh I didn't know that. That'll work then.

    Her texture looks like it's going to be pretty annoying so I think I'll do Pico first. I've only textured her boots, hair, and neck piece.

    Pico's basic model is almost done. I still need to do the belt and pull his "cheeks" up to meet the helmet.

    I need to get rid of the knee pads.

    Cap Falcon's chest and back have weird jagged parts that aren't visible from forward or side views, so after rotating him I've found several things I need to work on.

    I reason I never released Ganon was that I never got around to cell shading his head. In certain stages, the area around  his eyes is lit wrong as is, making it look like a mask. It's because the piece of skin there is too dark or something. I've tried to fix it but it isn't really working. I'm hoping that making it all solid color and shading it checking it back and forth will fix it.

    Full body Pico Preview



    Model:

    Chest and back need serious revertexing.

    Forehead needs to go forward a little more

    Boots have some uneven spots

    Belt and shoulder pad haven't been touched at all

    Texture:

    Arms, scarf and boots are all that's left.
    Revision of entire texture.

    Are there any guides on Bone editing to alter height? If so, could someone please direct me to one. I've decided that I will definitely need to change his height, so I might as well ask now.

    I have to disable his mouth bone so it will not be usable on wifi.

    Basic texture is finished so I got some screens.







    Now I just need to remove the crease on his shirt, remove the buttons, remove the shoulder pad, tidy up the joints on his shoulders/legs, and a few other things.

    As far as texture goes, it needs finalization, Falcon's original eyes need to be made green so they aren't visible (you can see them in some animations right now), the symbols on the chest need to be more visible.

    Don't remember if I mentioned it or not, but I'm making him have Wild Goose, his vehicle instead of Falcon's ship during FS and entry animation.

    Here's a quick preview of it:

    Gotta texture it then see what changes I need to make to the model to finish it.

    Seems that Cap Falcon's chest likes to spring back into it's original model during certain animations. Any idea why it's doing this? He always seems to have those abs even though they aren't on his model/texture anymore.

    I don't think I've ever saw a Cap Falcon hack where the ship had been edited. It might not work ingame. Don't praise it too much until I test it lol

    Nice vertexes, Weyard. That gave me an idea: When the DAE to MDL0 is finished I could get a bunch of car models from NFS: HP 2010, rig their bones to match the F-Zero cars and port them over every car. Then re-arrange the track a little and real life racetrack lol.
