I bumped this to inform the world that Smashbox lets you mod some stages incompatible with STASH. You may not notice a difference now, but when I develop and refine the SMI texture, you'll see them. OMG! This means I'll be able to make the Shadow Moses Island texture hack I want to make! Also would you like to say what this is supposed to be?

It's a Work In Progress of Old Shadow Moses Island in MGS4, or daytime SMI.

I've noticed that SmashBox isn't always friendly with CMPR format textures that contain transparency; CMPR format textures are named tex#00_14. In these kinds of cases, you'll need to use ASH to avoid messups.

But, when you say that sometimes the quality is lower, what do you mean?

Gray scale? Only the snow effects and shadows are grayscale through Smashbox IIRC. Hers's a pic showing a rust effect I applied on the building and boxes.

When I made Scrap Brain Zone several textures that control parts of the texture other than snow where forced to grey scale. So I scrapped the idea entirely.

Might have to do with the lighting or something. It doesn't really matter much with my Idea. Here's an updated pic. I think it might have to do with the reflection texture. Just color it white or light gray. I'm not exactly sure of your problem. I whipped this up quicly as a test to show a non blue or gray color on SMI's buildings. And I succeeded. Here's a diferent SMI texture for the REX version of SMI.
