That's exactly what I mean by manual texture work, the unfortunate reality is that Brawl doesn't support bump maps so you have to compensate for that in the textures like Brawl did. That's also why the Smash 3DS models look like they have more depth than these, because the textures are actually done without things like that in mind.
I am well aware of the work that will needed to be done to compensate, having redone entire textures. Without naming names or works, there are a lot of imports that suffer from the same thing, not just Smash Wii U ones.

Skullkid is looking great so far, I went ahead and bone-edited Wolf's arms to keep from having to change the original model's proportions that much. Damn he looks good. Will you make a toon link Version?

Just need to find a way to make the outer shell glittery, yet see-through and with the texture always facing the camera. Oh, and collisions are still not done.

Thinking about it, but I'm not sure. I'm probably going to give him some rim lighting, but the lighting is going all over him and spazzing for some reason, so got to figure that out first. Anybody know how to fix that?

@Nano: Not sure if this was a troll, but it seems to fit so well.

Just gotta edit the camera and blast zones and that's it then. As for what's next, I dunno. If someone could provide the model and textures of Wrecking Crew Omega, I'd love to try my hand at that one. Otherwise I'll try to come up with a Dr. Mario stage, because I don't think there is one yet.

For those who might have been wondering, without glitchy rim lighting, Skull Kid looks like this

Mac is about done. Has specular maps for clothes and skin. Also, some facial expressions. These were tricky, since Cap Falcon is pretty limited with facial expressions... Cap's "blink" face is Mac's "ouch" face, and vice-versa. This is because Cap Falcon's eyes aren't seen under his visor, so the blink face is rarely used. This makes it so that Mac's eyes close when damaged, as well as getting his "ouch" face ad some occasions. And Xtra

Wish I knew that before, would've been nice to Foxy some sort of hurt eyes because his eyes were covered like you said, I didn't think his eyes actually blink in any animations since no one would've seen them. Must've been leftover from when they scrapped the "battle damage" idea.

I make YouTube videos, SM64 hacks, Brawl Hacks (obviously), NSMBW hacks, and GoldenEye 007 Mods. I also have a short attention span and tend to switch around a lot and put things on hold. But when I do finish things, 95% of the time I gave 120% effort, the other 5% of the time I give 100% effort.

Only some blink, which is why I was able to get the "ouch" face to work in the pic above. However, for the "Down" and sleep animations, they don't close

He has vertex morphing for eye! Well that explains why most of us didn't know about his eye blinking before.
