i find the difference in shading style between the boots and the rest of the texture look kind of weird...

I think the shading overall looks really good, but also that both the blue and yellow/golden on his "shirt" would look better witn a little darker tones, IMO. Do you have a back view pic by any chance? I'd like to see how his cape and bandanna look like with this style

the inner lining of his cape is far too white, it should have some subdued color to it.

Oddly, it's the look we were originally going to roll with before we had some issues getting the model the way we wanted it... I may have said too much!

Well, for those curious, this is as far as we got the model and textures: This is extremely early in development, but I thought you guys would like to see what we originally had planned. That said, we still plan to roll with Brawl/Ranger Ike for the time being, but you can expect us to pick up work on Radiant Dawn Ike at a later point in time.

...Does anybody else hear that? That's the sound of all my dreams coming true. I hope we get a Vanguard Ike in the future! I'm sure they're working on beefing him up Naoto, haha. A wimpy looking Hero Ike would be awkward to play.
I hope you guys fix up his hair soon! That's gonna be one of the hardest parts to change... not to mention the face!

That's why we couldn't quite get the model the way we wanted. Rather than the "strong leader" we were aiming for, he was more like a "teen gang leader" so we sorta just switched to Ranger part way.
But it'll be much easier now that we've got a reference!

I definitely like that model, but seems to have more polygons than the Brawl one, and a buffed Ike would mean even more polygons, maybe? that would cause lag in 4vs4 matches... perhaps the original model with awesome new textures made by you is the best idea, but also the other model looks really cool

i'm working on a custom model myself, it would be a true honor to have somebody of this team to properly texture him. obviously, the model is not done yet although i gotta say i really like the boots of that model you have
