    Alright so I tested Megaman out.
    Really good looking with the new model but...
    the Yo-Yo appears during down smash, and up smash animations


    Hard coded article is hard coded.
    Removing = BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEe
    Haven't been able to edit the .rel so that he can charge smashes without it yet...

    I must say, I'm rather curious about what Simon's Moveset is like. I'd assume all of his smashes involve the Vampire Killer, and all the specials involve sub weapons, but I could be wrong about that. Can't wait to see how he turns out.

    By the way, Megaman is awesome. Even more sexy with the new model.

    I'm not gonna mince words here. Aside from overlooking ambigous balance, the only thing holding Simon back is that I do not have any taunt ideas for him......

    Victory animations have yet to be animated but it's not problem since I can use his victory poses from DMTV and CVJ as bases, not to mention I made one up on the spot already.

    First release won't modify the Final Smash. I have an idea for one, but I have to wait for these issues to be resolved.

    Capture Test - SSBB - Simon Belmont PSA Sneak Peek

    PLEASE KEEP IN MIND:
    - Fsmash and Nair are placeholders for the time being for like minded moves from Judgement.
    - I'm thinking about changing Dash Attack to something from Judgement rather than Whip Kirby's Vortex attack thing.
    - Big Shell is also far from done. As you can see, the sky needs it's fog settings fixed to match the not quite clean sea.
    - I was unsure about the character's balance considering how much range the whip gives him...
    - GFX are not 100% complete.
    - It may not have finished processing.

    Hm...

    To be honest, I think Simon looks a bit broken right now.

    He has a lot of range, but no real con with that range it seems...


    Look at the Sephiroth PSA for example (despite it having some problems of it's own... Like too many specials.) He has great range, but with it has less kill power then normal, and some end lag at the end of the kill moves. So he needs to be careful when trying to kill, or else he gets punished...

    Simon doesn't look like he has much end lag, or start up, and he killed Gray Fox pretty quickly it seems... Unless the stage just has a very small death boundary.

    Though, what you could also do maybe is, he could have some pretty heavy start up lag on the kill moves, but have them have... Okay end lag? Punishable, but not TOO punishable...


    It also seems like some animations are on the stiff side (although with the Belmont Strut, that's alright, since it's odd looking in all the games.)

    One more thing... Nice Castlevania 2 reference in the win pose. Tongue

    Though he should be crouching, since as you'll recall... You need to crouch for 10 seconds at that dead end, with the red gem.

    Yeah other then animations looking a little stiff, he looks pretty cool for a first go.

    Dunno if I like how the cross looks though. I thought the judgement cross looked fine.
    I also feel like holy water should land right in front of Simon, as the arc looks way to big right now.

    Also curious, did you ever end up getting a different model for Simon?

    the psa is looking preety damn eic but that guy has alot of range  atleast for ssb standards  like DD said he might be broken since ppl wont ever be able to reath close enough to hit him tha much abd eoic alt mode for this psa would be kratos just saying Tongue  he looks preety good but he will be too good with that long range wip attacks

    This is what I did with Dsmash already.  Tongue

    All duly noted.

    In the meantime, tell me which animations in particular seem stiff. Just keep in mind that neutral B and that walk are supposed to be like that.

    That's why it's not very strong after all.

    BTW, The Cross is from judgement. The blue glow is a failed attempt at making the effect glow blue instead of yellow.

    A lot of the whip movement is what's stiff, and some of it is too frantic while remaining stiff.

    Could you record on a stage without foreground distractions?

    Also, have you considered my taunt suggestions?

    Haven't forgotten.
    Just some Solidus and PM related stuff taking priority in combination of my buying and playing Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance.

    I'll get back to him after laundry I guess.

    Edit: Did I tell you guys I did a sound pack for Simon using his Judgement voice?
    Only needs 1 thing and retest and it's done.
